Neil is everywhere! But not on the radio much…
Our community radio station played Union Man so I had to comment in the chat; “Live music are better, bumper stickers should be issued!” Cause I’ve NEVER heard that song on the radio! Made a tired drive home in heavy traffic better! He talked a bit about it at the break too so I will download it at home and share that too. Really made my day. Russell Courtenay Solemnity and profundity are sublime in inequity.

Almost ARC Day
10
In recent years, I had a feeling ARC Day wasn't considered much of a "thing" any longer. Recently, it has been brough to my attention that people were still celebrating, and doing it with enthusiasm! And so, I'd like to take a moment to remind you that on April 1, 2025, ARC will reign supreme, in all its pleasure-pain glory! ARC Day is April 1. Play it loud, play it often. Open all the windows and share it with the neighbors. Revel in your favorite parts. Feel uplifted by the genius of feedback!!! Go find your copy of Arc, dust it off, get out the old cd player and go old school. Or dance to your digitized version. Got it on tape? Whatever, however, details don't matter. Just celebrate!!! IRF RETURNS... well, not quite, but....
3
The day AFTER this years Shoreline Show, rusties will be gathering at a place very near to OPL. We are not tied down yet, but we thought we would share here so that you can start planning to join us if you want. Here is what Paul Stevens reports on Facebook.... I drove up to Princeton Landing today and met with the "commander" in charge of booking at the American Legion hall there, Tina. She is super sweet and friendly. I think we have our IRF venue for September 13! This place is the next building to the left of OPL. Many of us parked in their grassy parking area in years past. They have a small bar and a lovely back area complete with stage. They are very excited to host us. There is a fire pit, a little garden/sanctuary/memorial area. A huge outdoor stage and a lovely view of the Santa Cruz mountains. They will get their outdoor kitchen going and have food available. The time is flexible and we can also move indoors or have acoustic music around the fire pit later in the evening. Crazy coincidence was that unknown to me my buddy that I play with in a Grateful Dead band was setting up to play. I play percussion in that band and he's the drummer. So there's some shots of their trio set up inside. We will do our thing in the big outdoor stage. Check out the photos! We will need to hire sound but my other friend does a great job at that and I think we just pay whatever we need to pay and charge ourselves whatever we must to have one fine IRF! He will make electric and acoustic acts sound great. The date is Saturday 9/13. The day after the Shoreline show. Time will be "late afternoon to late night"! Actual time slots for playing TBD.-- peace, marilyn Listen to my record at www.MarilynMillerMusic.com! When the music calls, I'll be there....ny

NNC - ISO Steve Washick
2
Hello all, I live in the Tampa area of Florida and used to run into Steve Washick at shows that we were both taping. I'm still a relatively active taper and wondered how he was. I lost track of him when he moved and wondered if he was still a member on this list? If anyone knows him, I have some old recorded masters to share with him. ...anyway, thanks for indulging me. Now, returning you to your regularly scheduled programming, all my best, rustintampa (Eric)

Neil show - Charlotte 8/8/25
Hello, My wife and I are coming up from Tampa, FL for the first show of the tour. Just curious if anyone is talking about gathering for a mini "rustfest" pre-show? I've never been to the venue, but plan on seeing what kind of recording I get. My Alpharetta recording from last year came out well. all my best, rustintampa(Eric)

CSNY'S "Deja vu" and Neil Young's "Harvest" live
I saw this on an Instagram ad but hadn't ever heard of the performers putting on this tribute concert. Funny how you could see the same thing at a local pub for $35 and here's a rather aspirationally-framed Presentation at $161. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/csnys-deja-vu-and-neil-youngs-harvest-live-and-complete-tickets-1270105292119 is the link for the SF Bay Area show (San Mateo) but I see a couple of other dates, without making an effort to look it up.. Curious if anyone would go to this (at this prices, I won't, but $35 I am not sure I would either)

Archives is crapped and I need a file!
3
So I just listened to my Oceanside Countryside FLAC files.... And I discovered that I'm actually missing Song #8 "The Old Homestead." How this happened I don't know because I downloaded the zipped files from the archive site. Anyhow, I just went back to the archives to see if I could snag that one song and lo and behold the archives login is new: I log in and it takes me to a completely blank white page! Nothing, nada, completely blank! So, until Neil's techies figure out that their changes to the site are crap, I would be most grateful if someone could help me obtain the FLAC file for song #8 on Oceanside Countryside: "The Old Homestead." Cheers, and thanks: - martyh

Question on the Oceanside Countryside Analog Original Series (AOS) release
5
Question - are the tracks on the new Oceanside Countryside Analog Original Series (AOS) the same as tracks available in the Archives III? I know the Oceanside Countryside Archive III has a different track list. I just don't want to purchase something I probably already have that the tracks are scattered around in the archives. The album cover looks to be the same photo and printing which makes it confusing... Maybe this was a discussion previously and I missed it. Thanks, doc Archive III Disc 6: Oceanside Countryside (1977): Neil Young 1. Rap 2. Field of Opportunity (previously unreleased mix) 3. It Might Have Been (previously unreleased version) 4.
