Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
Correct, I am using the DB-9 on the TNC.? I may flash them into standalone mode and test them individually with winlink on my laptop.

Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
Side note, the 12/96 jumper is for the mini 6 connector. Are you using the
DB9 connector on the TNC?

Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
Each one is tested in stand alone mode and then I flash them with the Pi
firmware. Do the yellow and red leds come on at any time? You can flash
them back to the stand alone mode and plug them into

Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
I am using a cable from HamMadeParts.com that connects to the 6-pin data connector and terminates to a DB-9.? I got all three of my Pi9k6's from etsy.? The jumper is set to 1200 I thought of that

Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
Also make sure you have the 1200/9600 jumper in the right place. This selects which pin on the 6 pin mini din is used for receive audio. Ideally Input peaks need to be above +-20000.

Re: yfktest
It's a Perl 5 script so doesn't need installing.
In the terminal, type perl -v
to see which version of perl, if any, you have installed.
Docs are here:

Has anyone installed Yfktest contest logger on Bullseye or Buster? Looking for some guidance on if/how to do that.

Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
Based on that output, it seems the pi9k6 isn't hearing anything. I assume you're putting the audio out of your TM-V71A via the 6pin DATA jack so check the cabling from the radio to the TNC. If that

Re: Proper pi9k6 configuration for AX.25 and PAT
Hello KN6FOA,
Two things here:
1. Are you really intending to use the PI9k6 TNC in I2C mode and not serial mode? This is NOT the default as the default is to use the Raspberry Pi's build-in

Re: HiFiberry dac+adc mated to a Rpi4
Is your Hifiberry HATT board recognized upon boot up? You *do* need to enable it via the /boot/config.txt file:

Re: New Member Question
Here's where the MoPi2 hot-swap power supply hat really shines. It takes two 6-30VDC inputs, plus a charge input. Normally, your primary power goes into port 1 and your backup battery goes to port 2.
