Re: FamilyTreeDNA provides Y-DNA haplogroups from Family Finder autosomal tests
To clarify Debbie's point, this refers to the post regarding a *completely* unprocessed test. Not all male tests have received Y-DNA haplogroups yet - that process is still ongoing. - Iain.

If your Family Finder test has not been processed by FTDNA you need to get in touch with customer service and find out what has happened. Have you perhaps ended up with two different accounts and your

These are just my observations, and initial ones at that. It appears to me that mostly older Y SNPs are found in Family Finder. However, by older I don't mean older TMRCAs for the associated

My father has taken FF but only received R-U106. I think smaller older Haplogroups are excluded.

A quick analysis of R-Z18, between November 29 and December 8, 2023, a branch which seems instructive to me on the contribution of FF tests. *Stats (including all subclades):* Kits: +599 bigY: +7

Re: FamilyTreeDNA provides Y-DNA haplogroups from Family Finder autosomal tests
Ian, I paid FTDNA for a family finder; they uploaded my aunts file from Ancestry and failed to provide me with the results of my family finder. I can¡¯t download paternal or mtdna .. only all.

I don¡¯t think you will see any improvements in your ?overall results. But it might be a good idea to have a test from FTDNA (or MH or 23andMe) in order to have Raw Data from a GSA test. I believe

Hmmm I wonder which family that comes from?? :-)? I'll have to look at the FF results over the holidays.? Getting another line under that branch would be useful. Nulls rule.

And this example (below) is as good of a result as our last Big Y 700 test for the group. Of course the Big Y result includes additional private SNPs. Robert McMillan
