Re: QCX 3D print
Has anyone tried the short version yet? I prefer to have power source outside the transceiver box.
If not, I will be attempting the short version when my printer arrives. Probably a Christmas break

Re: DVM/RF detector header Question
HI Barry,
That is very low indeed. Please double check the solder joins in the LPF, especially on the toroids, make sure the enamel coating is removed.
Also check for continuity between the PA mosfet

Bob
I note that you are the only one receiving BB01.
I know that you have extremly sensitive ears.
But is this what you would expect ?

Re: QCX Off Board Mounting wire
Hi Wes,
I used 0.14mm2 which is roughly equal to AWG26. For the supply you might want to use slightly thicker wire, AWG24 will do as it is rated to 2.1 A @ 75degC (typical current draw is 500-600mA

Re: Receiver module for U3S - multiple bands
Sorry, did not answer your specific questions...
''Now comes the bit I am unsure of, and that is the Park setting. The receiver notes say use park mode 4 - but that is only one frequency. But the U3S

Hi Roger,
Yes , I could see that working. A bit of extra loss in Rx mode though.

Re: Receiver module for U3S - multiple bands
Thanks Ken.
Since the 'LPF always in series' is the highest frequency, I figured it would not matter if I had it in series with the BPF's..they would all be for bands lower than or equal to the

Re: Receiver module for U3S - multiple bands
Hi Roger,
It certainly is addictive, especially if you try to build ‘outside the box’ ideas. I have built a multi band hopping rx and a multi band tx/single band rx transceiver, but your ideas

Having fun with T1 on 40M QCX
After winding T1 for my 40M QCX, I decided to have a little fun before mounting it, and perhaps get it right before mouinting it. I installed some header pins at unused location C8 (in the 40 meter

Receiver module for U3S - multiple bands
Hi all:
WSPR is addictive!
This is my first post to this group, so please be gentle.
I have a U3S, running on 3 bands at present, 20, 30, and 40. I am using

Re: 17 meter QCX output issue.
Steve, the transistor arrived last week, and I had some other things that sucked away my time. I just did replace the transistor a few minutes ago and It's now a solid 3 watts to an antenna. Of course

Re: DVM/RF detector header Question
30 Metre QCX on a 12V battery.? Firmware 1.00d
Looks like I'm only getting .21 watts out.? WSPR works well at that power but no CW contacts yet.? I'll have to do some more research to try to

For my qcx20meter I measure with a precision lcr meter every toroids.
The L4 for 20 meters on red amidon 10 turn is over the 0.40microH. I found 9 turns is pefect.
After initial calibration I
