Having fun with T1 on 40M QCX

After winding T1 for my 40M QCX, I decided to have a little fun before mounting it, and perhaps get it right before mouinting it.? I installed some header pins at unused location C8 (in the 40 meter case) and, referring to photo 7 on page 53 of the manual,? I connected secondary 3 to the header pins via plug-on wires.? Then I connected my return loss bridge to the primary winding and injected a frequency scan with my dds-based poor ham’s scalar network analyzer into the return loss bridge with the 5-turn primary going to the unit under test port.? This gives a highly sensitive indication of the resonance frequency.? Note that I did not cut apart any of the windings on T1 at this point. To make a long story short, the specifed winding count was within the range of the tuning cap, but I removed one turn from secondary 3 to get the desired resonance point at close to the midway adjustment of the tuning cap.?
