Yes, Jan ... it was the same tracking VK3YT Picospace balloons
across the Pacific over the last 2-3 years.? Several stations
receiving out to 2000km, then a few to 3000km, then just me for
another 5000km or so.? After two F2 hops (8-10,000km) it gets
difficult to receive a 10-20mW signal unless the balloon is near our
antipode.? Check the WSPRnet.org results for VE3KCL (U3B-12) and
K4JCW (HIRFW-6) over the past 2 weeks and see that the same applies
in the Northern hemisphere with just a few stations receiving past
3000km.
We have a very quiet countryside location on a hill top with
negative horizon to the east, and the RX is on a 4 WL long Beverage
RX antenna pointed at the location of BB01.? The difference between
a Beverage antenna and any other wire antenna I tried was like night
and day. The closest performing RX antenna was the Flag antenna ...
it was only about 4dB worse.

I note that you are the only one receiving BB01.
I know that you have extremly sensitive ears.
But is this what you would expect ?
