Most of my current subjects as I explore this are outside in full sun. A ring flash down the road for sure. The focus rail or slider I can see as a needed item as adjusting/moving the tripod an inch

Based on Scott Ditzel¡¯s comment in another thread, I suspect that both of us need to invest in a ring flash, and that would likely give better results than a focusing rail. I¡¯m definitely curious

Hi Jon The process you describe is how RAW or in the case of Nikon NEF files work. Very basically, the RAW file is just data with no adjustments whatsoever ¨C it¡¯s data straight off the camera

Using tubes or a manual focus lens will cause the EXIF data to not show. With your camera, a manual focus lens's info can be entered into the menu system so that it shows. Lightroom saves a copy of
