Re: Lightroom

Using tubes or a manual focus lens will cause the EXIF data to not show. With your camera, a manual focus lens's info can be entered into the menu system so that it shows. Lightroom saves a copy of the Raw file that has all your adjustments. As for the people on here using tripods and focus rails for their macro, I use neither. After a while, one can judge when what one wants in focus. While I don't use a tripod or focus rail? (except when stacking) I do use a ring flash and it allows me to stop down the aperture so as to maximize the depth of focus. Diffraction is minimal in most cases (depending on how much the image is enlarged). The only negative of a ring flash is that shiny exoskeletons will reflect light resulting in "hot spots"

Both shots were handheld, it was the D7200 but the exif data was not on the image, is this what happens when you use tubes? I had only just got the tubes so I was trying to see what they would do. 1 question, when you play with an image in lightroom does it save all of the changes and overwrite the image or does it save a copy of the changed image?
