Hi John, it may be that the acceleration for the Z axis is set too high. This results in lost steps when the Z axis rapids upwards. Try reducing the Z axis acceleration by 25% and see if that

Are you running with Constant Velocity enabled, G64 mode? Doing so will result in X and Y starting to move before Z is fully retracted as the motion planner does blending of the moves to avoid slowing

recently opened
Mach 4 maintains a recently opened files list. Even if a file has been deleted from the disc and i have accidentally tried to open it and get a message that it no longer exists it stays in the list.
