Re: Can¡¯t connect Ethernet or USB
Okay, now to get up to date you want to update to the current Gemini-2 release L6.1 and HC v1.63 which has some nice additional features.? AFAIK with your fresh L6.x installation you only need to

Re: PemPro and GM811
Thanks Ray - so, I have logs from the PEC off and PEC on runs. To me, it looks like this did the trick? This time, as Ryan suggested I used my imaging camera on the main OTA.

Re: PemPro and GM811
But then if the curves are good and results are not, invert the curve and reassess. If the curves are good inverting for most people does the trick.

Re: PemPro and GM811
The easiest way is to create a PEC curve on the Analyze tab and compare the amplitudes of the frequencies with PEC ON to those in the original log with PEC OFF. -Ray

Re: PemPro and GM811
Hi Michael, You shouldn't need to invert the curve in the latest build (v3.10.14), but you can configure the Invert Curve setting in PEMPro's Configure Scope/Mount window: -Ray

Re: PemPro and GM811
Seems like that's around 3"/pixel on your guidescope and about 1.42"/pixel on your OTA That really isn't as huge a discrepancy as I imagined... a lot of people have a 3:1 or 5:1 ratio between OTA and

Ryan, on page 2 it says to set the servo encoder multiplier to 4, but I think that only applies to L6? [email protected]> wrote:

Re: Can¡¯t connect Ethernet or USB
Success! Thank you everyone again for all your help. I ordered a PIC2 programmer from Amazon (about $26). The stock ribbon cable pins it came with were too wide to plug directly into the sockets on my

Re: PemPro and GM811
I may have oversimplified the guidescope vs OTA comment in my last post since I'm not sure you posted what focal length your guide scope and OTA have. Apologies. If your guidescope is 500mm with 2um

Re: PemPro and GM811
You definitely want to shoot through the OTA. A guide camera through an OAG will be fine but if you are using a guidescope you are probably not doing any favors with the reduced focal length. I shot

Re: PemPro and GM811
So, in any case I am using my OTA not my guide scope for this? That could be problematic as my camera (Atik 383l+) has a fairly slow shutter (1 second minimum exposure) and a slow USB connection

Re: PemPro and GM811
If you use your imaging camera you may have to set it to bin2 or bin4 in PemPro. My asi290 guide camera is far better than my 2600 for PemPro, but I put the 290 on my OTA.

Thanks for the tips and encouragement, Ryan. I'm still on L5 but I'll read through the PDF. I intend to send my Gemini in for upgrade after the new moon period is over. It's good to know this will

Hi Ray, didn't know if I'd find you in this group ;) So, I did those steps however, I am a little confused about step 4. In PemPro, I enabled PEC and then started another data acquisition for 2-3

Re: PemPro and GM811
Does the GM811G require you to invert the curve before uploading it??? My recollection is that it does, but I'm not 100% sure.

Re: PemPro and GM811
Hi John, First things first. Let's confirm you did the following: 1. Ran the calibration wizard. 2. collected multiple worm cycles with PEC OFF 3. Created and uploaded a PEC curve 4. With PEC ON

John, The instructions Ryan points out are for the L6. Compare and lookup instructions for a Gemini 2 to be clear. Ryan is correct. It takes a little practice to get PemPro¡¯s PEC working, but when
