Re: usb cable
Hi Jack. I have also been using Arduino clones for years but the only two I have ever had problems with, connectivity-wise have been those used on the Raduino boards. I have two HFSigs Raduino boards

Re: usb cable
My thoughts exactly.? The other night I got through a small pile up on W9IMS, a special event station, and was so happy with my $59 dollar wonder I was almost ready to sponsor my own dollar per voice

Re: usb cable
I have had a few Nano knockoffs that weren't happy with my system. However, running the drive app in the Drivers subdirectory has always fixed the problem after a reboot of the system. Jack, W8TEE To:

Connect your ohmmeter between the Ground and Clone on the plug. ?If the ohmmeter reads zero or very close to it when you press the PTT switch then proceed?ELSE the speaker/mike is not suitable. You

Looking forward to the new firmware! I currently have my own custom version that uses the CLK0 BFO and I can't keep up with Allard's new features :) I run my LO at 19MHz and images have been greatly

Good that you are moving to the CLK0 BFO scheme, looking forward to that. ?Once both BFO and VFO are generated from the Si5351, then all errors in operating frequency are proportional to the error in

Re: usb cable
I've been using Nano clones for years and have never had an issue. Is the clone causing an issue? If it is, you can always cut out/desolder the cheap socket, buy a "real" Nano and a quality socket,

Are these "kilowatters" ham stations? Or are they images from SW broadcasters higher up in the band? Here in Europe, with the BITX40, we can hear a lot of images from SW broadcasters transmitting in

Totally true Darren. The Nano clone even uses a different serial to USB chipset - CH340/CH341 which is an issue when using Arduino on OSX. 73 Dan HK4DEI
