I have had a few Nano knockoffs that weren't happy with my system. However, running the drive app in the Drivers subdirectory has always fixed the problem after a reboot of the system. Hope this might help someone out there. jbb ac2pl Jeffrey Bonanno, Ph.D., AC2PL -------------------------------------------- On Thu, 5/25/17, Jack Purdum via Groups.Io <econjack=[email protected]> wrote: Subject: Re: [BITX20] usb cable Date: Thursday, May 25, 2017, 8:32 AM I've been using Nano clones for years and have never had an issue. Is the clone causing an issue? If it is, you can always cut out/desolder the cheap socket, buy a "real" Nano and a quality socket, and reinstall it. I don't recall anyone having an issue with the Nano itself or its socket. Also, I remember the genuine Nano was around $25. I think I would be more disappointed if the BITX40 price jumped $20 than the fact that a viable clone was being used. Jack, W8TEE ? ? ? From: Daniel Isaza ? To: [email protected] ? The Nano clone even uses a different serial to USB chipset - CH340/CH341 which is an issue when using Arduino on OSX. 73 Dan HK4DEI On Thu, May 25, 2017 at 6:38 AM, W9ZIM <darrendude@...> wrote: On Thu, May 25, 2017 at 01:34 am, Master Ice wrote: the arduino board on the raduino is a cheap clone it¡¯s a poor quality socket. Really?? It's not a genuine Arduino??? That's a little disappointing if it's true. -- Darren W9ZIM |
