Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
Hi David, first of all thanks for all of your work on these great tuners, when I got my kit I was sceptical, but once I got the board finished and tested it that vanished. Will it be possible to

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
The reason I was asking about latching relays is this Chinese built ATU-100 with inbuilt battery which I bought off eBay, ?on opening it up I found that the pillars holding the board were glued in to

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
Thanks - since many qrp rigs are in the field powered by a battery, latching relays would make more sense. It's always nice to learn something new in ham radio. 73 - Bill

This is the led , I am hoping it will switch to the other one, Dave

Re: voltage checks
Hi John My mistake is that the board takes 0.443ma so less then 0.5 of a ma, with out a load from the output side of the board, so it is still a drain on the battery, but not so bad, My battery is now

Re: voltage checks
Hi again John I am just charging up the battery now so I will see what the max charge is, Like I say it should not be over 4.2V, Thanks Dave

Re: voltage checks
Hi John I have just received this board today, When the usb is plugged in Charging max battery voltage should not go above 4.2V when fully charged, Also the voltage output can be set by the small pot

voltage checks
Would anyone have on the bench a pre-built ATU-100 that uses the small circuit board labelled J5019? I am after the voltages for; The feed to the main board with the relays on The feed to the

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
With a latching relay, no power is needed to hold its position, power is only needed to CHANGE its position. With a non-latching relay, power much be applied continuously to hold the relays position.

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
Hi Bill When the tuner has done the tune , it may be taking Upto around 270ma, as it needs to hold the relays, by still powering the coil, but with latching ones, once tuned they hold by them

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
Please enlighten me as to why latching relays are better and what is the difference. I am a relatively new ham. Thanks - Bill

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
Hi, Amanda There is a special atu 100 version with latching relays. I will present it soon when I find a time.

Re: Latching relays for the ATU-100?
There are Latching relays that are a 'drop-in' for the existing non-latching relays, BUT the software would need to be re-written and the hardware around them would have to be changed to drive them.

Latching relays for the ATU-100?
Hi all, Is there a latching relay that will replace the non latching types in the ATU-100?

Re: Have SMA kit. Possible to add/solder additional SO239 jack to the ¡®out/ant¡¯. #atu-100
Goal is to: -have SMA and also SO239 connector to choose from for the antenna side -avoid adapters -use the extra so239 connector that came with my kit -use a standard so239 cable to my so239 9:1
Re: Have SMA kit. Possible to add/solder additional SO239 jack to the ¡®out/ant¡¯. #atu-100
Not sure if the goal is a change in the physical connections from sma to either bnc or pl259. If so, why not an adapter. Are they too lossy?
