Yankee Rowing Boathouse Updates & Reminders
There is now a magnetic door catch on the inside of the "men's" bathroom door so that the door can stay open. After you use the bathroom, please remember to open the door all of the way so that the magnet catches and the bathroom gets aired out and dried out.?
The spray handle on the boathouse hose broke this morning and will be replaced with a new?handle tomorrow/Friday morning. Please be careful using the new handle. Please try to avoid dropping it on the ground or on the boathouse ramp. ?
Please don't leave club towels outside on the slings, grass, or ramp--they get or stay wet out there. Please hang them up on the clothesline inside the boathouse. ??
Thanks very much.?

Yankee- FYI- ? ? ? Most likely someone just forgot and left the door open. Nothing ?has been stolen from YRC ?in over 30 years . ? ? ? ? ?A few years ago a professional group of thieves ?made off with some JetSkis ?,on both sides of the river, but it ?was , once again , Pros. They they had planned on attack as a gang on expensive jet skis .
? ? You can stay calm-Gary and his family live on the property, a floodlight floods the area, it would be easier to steal a boat off the outside rack, and our building is surrounded by windows. All you have to do is break one window ?and you have access to the entire club.? ? ? It might not be a bad idea to change the number, but everything is safe as it always was. Safer considering the floodlight.? ? ?Remember to shut the door.?

Re: Green Peinert outside rack ?
I realize I am making a suggestion that I cannot actually do (because I don't have the skills, and because I am currently sidelined with a sore rib)--but at my last rowing club, we built a little roof over the outdoor racks to protect from UV rays, falling branches, hail, and the like. Buying lots of boat covers is far more expensive., as is letting the boats deteriorate.
