After applying the latest update, I am now getting an alert as expected with an incoming message, however, it is not lasting. I participate in the APRS Thursday thing and when I send my report, I get several messages and the alert sounds. The following week, no sounds. I have to restart YAAC to get the sounds to come again with incoming messages. Sometime during the week, they stop working and by the next Thursday I have to restart YAAC to get them back. My APRS runs 24/7 here in the shack. I'm not seeing any other issues and no indication when the sound feature stops working, until I look at the message list and see a message came in and I got no alert. Hi Everyone, I have a radio port, and an APRSIS port on my YAAC instance. The APRSIS feed drowns out the RF port when viewing raw packets. Is there any way to filter the raw packet view to just seeing packets to/from a single port? Carl, vk1kcm.

Again, thank you for the help Andrew. Using your suggestion i found that the GPS module signs on with some kind of header and then fails to send anymore information to YAAC. While it will stream to a terminal, it does not do so otherwise. It was necessary to purchase a new laptop as one of my older ones died, before installing Ubuntu i'll give it a try with YAAC in Windows 11 and a different GPS puck and see what happens. I've tried a search but haven't been successful. Running Ubuntu on a Ryzen 5 laptop. Running Linux Mint on a Pentium. Same issue on both. Attempting to run as a mobile station with either computer, YAAC and a KPC-3+USB in KISS mode, and a U-blox USB chip. Constantly reconfiguring the ports every time i start YAAC, pretty much have accepted that. Problem is when it is all configured and running, the position of my vehicle never updates. Stays in the same spot i was in when computer booted and system stabilized. I'm trying to find the problem point and this is what i have been able to determine; If i run a serial terminal program (GTKterm) with the correct /dev/ttyUSBx port, and at 4800 baud i can see the data change as i move, and stop and stabilize when i stop. I have changed the output of the gps dongle to a faster update speed, no help. I've tried going around GPSD and just running it in YAAC as a serial GPS port, and it shows up when YAAC starts, but still doesn't move. Any ideas would sure help, and many thanks in advance. Improve debug logging in the plugin, introducing "arednall" debug category for finer-detailed logging. 5. fix typo introduced in sounds plugin that prevented finding the plugin provider when the code was built with Maven. 6. fix sounds plugin's WAV file playback to support multiple overlapping signals.

Hi all, I installed YAAC on my Ubuntu and connected my TH-D72 with the USB cable to the computer. Using Putty, I can connect to my TH-D72 via /dev/ttyUSB0 and I am able to send commands to the HT, including Connect, which is keying the radio. On YAAC, I configured a serial_tnc port with ttyUSB0 and kiss on. HT is in Packet mode, but i am not able to transmit any beacon. Any help would be appreciated. 73 CT1ETE Paulo

So is YAAC, kinda. I'm trying to push the Davis Vantage Pro+ WX station data into a KPC-3+ TNC using Weather Display through YAAC. I can see the station on CWOP and Weather Underground. So I know it is working. I can see the data string in YAAC, and it parses it correctly. So I know that is working correctly as well. I tried to minimize the YAAC window on my Pi 400 and realized the doo-hickies for minimize, restore and close normally at the top right of window dialog boxes were missing. I have a Home and Mobile profile with different settings on my portable TNCPi with display unit. For my mobile profile I created a Mobile beacon configuration which I saved. I was hoping that when I re-opend the Mobile profile the Beacon would be set to Mobile but it is back to default. Is there a way to keep a specific beacon configuration associated with a profile so that I don't have to go in and select it? 1.0-beta 196 Brien - KE7WB

When I click on YAACMain.jar or YAAC.jar, all I get is a small blue balloon that opens then closes. Not sure what I did but I went to update map tiles and got a message that I needed to update YAAC version. Software reports I am at the latest version. My map has disappeared and restarting program does not bring it back. Any help would be appreciated. Also I am trying to download tiles for a larger radius around my station. Brien - KE7WB

Hello my name is Kevin, I am attempting to change settings on the Configure Beacon page. I'm trying to modify the beacon ambiguity setting. the drop box is available, i change my setting and hit "save changes" close, re-check settings, and find that its back to high precision, attempting to troubleshoot, i was able to change some box check settings but unable to store the ambiguity setting and seemed buggy and some changes wouldn't stay saved. i decided since everything (but that) was configured i exported the xml file to see if i couldn't change the setting and reload the config into YAAC to see if the change was a permission issue? the value was something like "0.0016666" which i assume is linked to the drop box values in the configure beacon page. OS is Linux mint 20.something, i had issues in the past with this and it somehow got saved and left alone but i cant seem to crack this problem. The real bug is the save changes button not doing anything. and second if anyone knows the VALUE for the different ambiguity levels or if that's just a percentage of drift i can modify ill just modify the XML file outside of program and re upload after. linked is the KA2DDO html instructional on that page. and yes i have "None of these changes are activated until the Save Changes button is pushed." into oblivion, i appreciate any in-site into this bug. I have Direwolf V1.7, running on a Raspberry Pi 3, FT-817nd, and using YAAC. YAAC 1.0-beta 196(17-Feb-2024). I've configure things for digipeater and Igate, or at least I think I have. I'm new at this. I see lots of traffic going by in Direwolf. My digipeater beacon shows up on the map on aprs.fi as K1YPP-10. The problem I have is that none of the traffic is showing up on the YAAC map. It only shows K1YPP-10. If I use XASTIR, the map does populate. However both have a common problem: If I use my FT5-d and beacon to my station, nothing shows up on the map, or in Direwolf. If I go out on my porch and put the handheld on high power, I hit NI4CE-10, which is about 20-30 miles from here and it updates aprs.fi with K1YPP-7. For some reason my K1YPP-10 Igate is ignoring things. I'm keeping things up running if someone wants to see what is on aprs.fi. The question is, where do I look to fix things? Like I said, I'm new at this. I have gone through the Direwolf and YAAC documents and haven't really found anything that might address this. Hey guys, Im new to aprs and am hoping to get this running for a backpacking trip in two months. I have both direwolf and yaac able to Rx aprs packets and the gps coordinates through usb dongle. I just need to be able to Tx my position now. When i turn on YAAC the radio keys and wont unkey unless i exit. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Setup goes: Yaesu vx-6r-->digirig-->usbhub-->FZ-M1 windows machine I know an aprs capable radio would make things easier; but, im trying tk get what i currently have functional, despite the headaches haha. Digging out a Quadra I used previously for a presentation on APRS. I am running Direwolf and YAAC. I am using a cheap CM108 sound dongle with the PTT mod. It was receiving, but no indication of transmit. Looking at the PORTS in the config screen, they are red. Opening the edit page on the AGWPE port it says "No such port name on AGWPE server localhost". From what I gather, the pulldown should reveal port name options, but there are none. I've been wandering through the Direwolf config and other settings and find no where to set this port name. It's been several months since I played with this and, sadly, my memory is pretty much shot and I can't remember how I got it working before. It was receiving and displaying packets, now I finally got to where I need to work on getting it transmitting and have hit a wall. Any ideas on setting this port name? TO: POTAGW Via: MSG: WA7SKG K-TEST 146.520 FM VIA APRS Over the air, the message says "VIA APRS{m000b" Subsequent messages have appended {m000c, {m000d, {m000e, etc. What is this string for?
