Re: Battery will not charge
Though the X6100 comes with an “anti-tamper” sticker on its cabinet to
detect “unauthorized/warranty-voiding” behavior, I do believe that it is
and has been illegal in the United States for

Yes, that is my understanding. ?If you break the tape seals, you have invalidated your warranty. ?However, if you bought your X6100 from Radioddity, I would contact Radioddity about any issues you

Re: Battery will not charge
Hi Ron,
The X6100 has a couple of bad ideas in the design, not the least of which
is having a too small battery to do any real good. But my main gripe with
it is their use of two processors.
It's fun

Re: Battery will not charge
I am sure as most know anything from China will have problems for repairs and service.? Like the UV5R for which so many Hams have, it is a throw away rig when it dies.? I had one die and for fun

#r1cbu
i'm not crazy about the CW message memory interface, but that's easily overcome with external pico keyer.
as far as rest of the #RICBU FW, i really like the variable filter capabilities and will most

Like a previous poster I've lost any faith I had in Xiegu because of this radio. I too have charging issues. After a full charge cycle the radio will only receive for about thirty minutes before the

Re: Are There Any Improvements in Newer Production X6100s?
I do know that the G90 received an update a year or two after its introduction due a need to change one of the microprocessors used. This also caused a need for a minor change in the firmware from

Re: Battery will not charge
To some extent, it is. Because on my "feature request" Oleg introduced the "Shadow Charging" option and that must communicate with the battery charging as I understand it.

Re: Are There Any Improvements in Newer Production X6100s?
Their way of product improvement seems to be a new model
Such as the X6200 (due in the next 3-6 months as ham shops are taking deposits)
Main improvement is a detachable battery pack from the specs

Re: Are There Any Improvements in Newer Production X6100s?
IMHO, I think they made production line changes with part quality. I bought my x6100 Oct. of 2024. No problems with the battery or charging. I always remember to turn off charging when running

Just so you know,,,,
Mine won't charge either. The battery charger circuit is broken. I suspect
it's the FET that the controller switches but I haven't taken the time to
troubleshoot it yet.

Re: Battery will not charge
Is the battery-management logic under the control of firmware? I.e., if I load and use Oleg's firmware, should I expect different charging behavior from default Xiegu?

?I suggest you need to determine if the charging circuit is working.? You need to use an external 12V source with a current meter between this source and the X6100.? I see about 750ma

Are There Any Improvements in Newer Production X6100s?
Does Xiegu produce radios in batches? If so, do newer batches include any physical improvements like better heat sinking and an improved battery charging system? Maybe it's just one run and done.
