For Sale: X6100 & XPA-125B
Hello group!? If for sale is not permitted in this group, please let me know and I will delete this post.
?
I have a several year old X6100 in great condition.? I just recently replaced the battery, so it is like new (charged only once since replacement).? Because these radios occasionally stick in transmit, I added a mini reed switch in the battery line, hot glued to the case.? If it ever sticks in transmit, you don't have to open the case and disconnect the battery, just put a magnet by the switch, which disconnects the battery and you can reboot the radio.? Oddly, since I added the switch, the radio has never gotten stuck in transmit again.? The radio has current firmware.? Included is an AC adapter to power the radio.
?
I also have a like-new XPA-125B, used only once with the X6100 to test it.
?
Finally, I have a waterproof case from Radioddity to hold both the radio and amp (I removed all the foam so they would both fit).
?
Pictures available on request.
?
$750 + shipping for all.? I prefer Zelle, but may accept other means of payment.
?
Contact me via this list if interested.

Erratic CW letter TX in message mode
Hi,
?
As I experience, sending a CQ ( stored in messages ) is a hit and miss. Sometimes it is almost correct, sometimes very badly translated to CW. I mean, it is sending wrong letters frequently, not the ones in the message text. The mistakes are not the same evey time, I don't see a pattern in it.
I have set my QSK to 500 ms to lower the number of wrongly sent letters, but it is still very unreliable.
?
Does anyone has the same experience? Maybe it is "baked" in the base firmware, because it is the same behaviour when I do it with messaging in the factory firmware.?
I am on R1CBU v0.30.1 with patched base v1.1.8, the factory GUI version is v1.1.9.

Sounds good to me!

Re: Alternative GUI v0.30.0 and patched BASE rev 3

I decided to make the min/max range fixed because for some cases waterfall looks too noisy (when whole dynamic range of the signals is not so big).
I guess it worth to add some configurable offset for spectrum/waterfall, when these levels are auto.
BTW, I'm thinking about merging auto min and auto max for waterfall and spectrum - it will be one switch (auto level), 2 levels (min/max) when auto levels is off and single level (offset) when auto levels is on. What do you think? --

think this might begun here (Set WF/spetcrum range to 48db):

Re: Alternative GUI v0.30.0 and patched BASE rev 3

Here's a screenshot that shows it. I've noticed this for lots of previous versions, so it's not new. It always seems like the "0" line of the spectrum is hidden behind the grey frequency bar. When I'd switch over to the manual settings, I'd shift it up slightly, so I see more than just the peaks popping out from behind the bar. |

@John Flinchbaugh: could You please post here a screenshot about the spectrum level issue, my equipment is already packed in - we are moving to a new house ;-),

Re: Alternative GUI v0.30.0 and patched BASE rev 3

I didn't see changes of the spectrum level for last versions on my radio, but I didn't check 0.30.1, that built on GitHub, just using my own compiled version. Let me check 0.30.1 from releases page.
Also - could you share a photos or short video about this issue? --

Re: Alternative GUI v0.30.0 and patched BASE rev 3

I'd love to see the auto min/max show the spectrum just a little higher. I also see the behavior Janos is observing. I had switched back to manual spectrum and waterfall for a bit, but decided it was more hassle than the graphs automatically showing a little low.

Re: Alternative GUI v0.30.0 and patched BASE rev 3

Hi Georgy,
?
One question about the present version 0.30.1.
As I see, the minimum level of the spectrum is too low ( I just see the top of the signals ), and I don't find a way to lift it above the black line showing the frequency. My min. level is at -127 dB.
The funny thing is, that turning the VFO is doing exactly what I need - but the spectrum wil shift down again if I stop tuning.
I think it has something to do? with the settings? "Spectum auto min, max" - but I don't find a way to disable these options. Turning the VOL knob does nothing with these settings.
?
Could You please give me a hint,
?
