IMHO, I think they made production line changes with part quality. I bought my x6100 Oct. of 2024. No problems with the battery or charging. I always remember to turn off charging when running external battery. I don't do CW so that's a mute point.
It does everything I want it to do. From Ohio on 5 watts, Hawaii, Bulgaria, Finland with compliments on clarity of modulation.

Does Xiegu produce radios in batches? If so, do newer batches include any physical improvements like better heat sinking and an improved battery charging system? Maybe it's just one run and done. Anyone know?
