Though the X6100 comes with an “anti-tamper” sticker on its cabinet to detect “unauthorized/warranty-voiding” behavior, I do believe that it is and has been illegal in the United States for decades to void a warranty for “such tampering”.
If you open the case to replace the batteries have you invalidated the warranty (Radioddity)?
