fldigi and MacloggerDX
I am operating fldigi from a PC and MacloggerDX from a Mac on the same subnet (192.168.1.xxx). I am trying to transfer QSOs logged in fldigi to MacloggerDX. Has anyone done this successfully? I see that fldigi has a MacLogger configuration page as well as a Misc/TCP-IP sessions configuration page. I already have WSJT-X successfully sending logging entries from the PC to MacloggerDX by using 192.168.1.255 as the broadcast address. The Logging/MacLogger configuration page simply has a checkbox "Connect to MacLogger" and "Capture Log Report" but that config page provides nothing about how to connect to MacloggerDX. The Misc/TCP-IP sessions configuration page might be the way to do this but I am not sure what to enter there. Has anyone successfully done this?

How to set UDP Address in fldigi 2 #fldigi
One used to be able to set the UDP address and port number for the UDP connection in Fldigi by navigating to the “I/O Ports” in the Configuration Menu or by configuring the ARQ/KISS/ I/O depending on the Fldigi version. In Fldigi v4.2.06 this does not appear to be possible anymore. I read that a linux terminal command “fldigi HOSTNAME” could be used to specify the UDP address but I installed ubuntu and it does not recognize this command. Am I missing something and if so where can I enter this UDP information?

FLdigi Sound problem 21
I have been successfully using FLdigi 4.1.18 for awhile with RTTY. Yesterday I downloaded version 4.2.06.19. But every time I transmit I get a steady audio tone from the computer speaker. The thing is I changed nothing in the audio or speaker settings. And comparing the config settings between both versions they are the same. Also the computer sound settings are the same. Running Win 11. At this point I have no choice but to use the older FLdigi version. Anyone else experience this or know what can cause this? -- Fred K2DFC

ACLog rig keying broken as of version 4.1.20 10 #fldigi
Hi All, It appears that the ability to key your rig through the ACLog API connection broke between 4.1.18 and 4.1.20. Nothing I do in 4.1.20 or later will key up the rig, and I do not see any <RIGTX> or <RIGRX> messages in the data stream (window or log file). It works perfectly in 4.1.18, and then upgrading to 4.1.20 - making no other changes - breaks it. Did something change about how this needs to be setup? 73, Matt - N3NWV

N1MM & FLDIGI Problem 2
Sometimes when using FLDIGI for RTTY one of the red markers (in the two red lines markers that you put over a RTTY signal) disappears. It doesn't happen all the time but enough to make it a pita. Anyone else have this happen? HNY K8TJM

macro problem with Timer and After
fldigi 4.2.06, Windows 11 Pro. CQ and other macros run OK. If I include <TIMER:NN> or <AFTER:NN> (with a time entered ) the macro will run one time and stop, never repeats. Once it stops all macros are unresponsive to clicking their button. Only way to get running again is to close fldigi and relaunch. If I stop the Macro before it completes, the Macros remain responsive to buttons.

Upgrading to v4.2.06 2
Hi I am new to the list, so pardon if this has been addressed before. I am currently running version 4.1.20. Are there any 'gotchas' when upgrading to version 4.2.06? Can this be done in place and does it retain settings etc? Thanks in advance Tony Pavick Pop Shop Radio Hope BC Canada

fldigi and CW contesting 17
Is there a way to increase the speed of my "pounce" during a CW contest? Granted, I'm pretty bad at CW, but by the time my transmission starts, (when pressing one of the macro buttions), I feel like the runner is just about wrapping-up his exchange with the hunter. My lame workaround is to send my callsign with the T/R button, still kinda slow though. I don't know the term for the lag between macro button press and transmitting, (if there even is a term). If there is a name for it, can it be adjusted? Thanks in advance.

review of THOR speeds on HF SSB 2
Here are the RF spectra of the THOR speeds from 11 to 56 sent today on 3585 kHz usb-data mode Rec'd on a SDR (RSP play) and SDR Spectrum Analyzer. The new THOR 25 (alpha) mode seems to be working well (still in alpha stage) Now wish it appears soon on FLMSG optional modes. I see all of the THOR speeds now have a longer "tail" at the end of each transmission (a few seconds) and the tones are "shaped" as described in the READ ME files written on the W1HKJ.com/alpha I think this keeps the BW to a minimum (like shaping a CW signal). On the PA NBEMS on Sunday mornings (0730 hr on 3583 kHz vfo) we typically use THOR 22 for checkins (about 500 Hz and 80 wpm) and then use MFSK 32 and THOR 32 for traffic with FLMSG or FLAMP. These are a bit faster and wider but seem to work well for 1-3 kB files. Prop was excellent today on 80m from all over the Mid-Atlantic area. QRP stations were easily copied by me as net control, well above my noise level. Here are the spectra of each THOR speed - I show the peak BW and the BW at 30dB below the peak. Not sure the current definition of "bandwidth" but I think it is the width of the signal at -26 dB below peak. We do find that THOR 11 really cuts through the noise with longer duration tones, and is especially good as a checkin mode during RTTY contests. Thor 11 feels slow, but is still around 30 wpm. de k3eui Barry Philly Dec 22 2024

Receiving WEFAX settings? 10
Well I am stumped, I use digital modes a lot, J8Call, VARAHF, FT4 & 8 so I know I have the right sound card settings in windows 11 to my IC-7300. Youtube has some videos, ok... But I can not get a wefax to come in. I have found the signal mostly out of New Orleans, on 4317.9 USB and a pulsing S5 to7. I can hear it on my headset but Nothing shows on FLdigi waterfall. the green receiving line is around 60 and moves with the s-meter. I have tried B/W and the color option, but they're blank. I've run it for 24 hours for possible propagation differences, but nothing is received. Thoughts, suggestions? yes the antenna is connected.. lol

USB and USB-D audio levels different 8
I have a problem using fldigi with my 7300. There is a huge difference in the sensitivity between USB and USB-D modes. I can not find any way to change this in the settings. If I set the computer and fldigi output level and radio USB MOD Level for about 50% power in USB-D mode, I get full power+ in USB. If I set the levels for 50% power in USB mode, I can hardly get any modulation in USB-D even if I crank the fldigi output from -30 to 0. This happens whether I use flrig or rigCAT for radio control. It happens with different versions of fldigi. I have DATA OFF MOD set to MIC, USB and DATA MOD set to USB. Because I am operating in some mixed mode nets I do not want to restrict DATA OFF MOD to MIC only. I do not see any setting in the radio to equalize this and I do not see anything in fldigi that would change the output level depending on whether the radio was in USB or USB-D mode.
