I dont think the com port is the issue.But the port is not in use. I can fire up WSJTX and it can connect on the same port (COM4). Exit WSJTRX and open DLDIGI - no com port 4.? I can see and change

Once you have it, make copies of the FLDIGI icon on your desktop or in a folder of your choice. THEN:

Audio devices for input fall into the category of mics, so once installed, whether in use or not, {my understanding is that} the mic needs to be given permission to be in use. Not sure
