Re: fldigi development test version posted
Hello David, Thank you for the updated FLdigi version! I think I got confused yesterday between the 'Lk' and the 'Rv' button states, my apologies... Today I have tested the functionality of fldigi ver4.2.06.25 and found the following: 1. The 'Lk' Button is now correctly stored and restored upon startup. Great! 2. Yet the logic so far fails for the 'Rv' Button, which stays as set in the 'fldigi.prefs' file, key name 'reverse:1' or 'reverse:0', even though fldigi asks to 'Save Config'. Thus it might be good to enable storing this setting as well, to avoid unnecessary user confusion, although admittedly, the 'Rv' option is not the most important one. 3. Creating and reloading Config Scripts works pretty much as expected. 3 of the 4 Button states are set as stored, but the 'Rv' Button keeps staying unchanged, if a script with the state 'REV:DISABLE' or 'REV:ENABLE' is loaded. Yet the 'Rv' state is mentioned as a configurable script command in the main fldigi Help file, just like the other 3 Button states, so I guess it is expected to function as well. 4. Script loading now works as expected, when loading a script via 'fldigi.exe --script <full-script-path-name>', with the limitation per item 3. In other words, the 'Rv' Button state doesn't follow the definition set in a script file and remains unchanged. - - - - - - Finally, for a future new fldigi release, I'd like to repeat my question(s), which I had asked in the following e-mail: --- Re: [winfldigi] New web hosting site for www.w1hkj 2025-02-04 at 18:32 [this timestamp probably is CET, not UTC or even your local time zone] Hello David, Thank you very much, issue convincingly solved ;-) I attach my set of pending 'other' (still present) observations, hoping that they are clearly described and worth considering for a future update. Quite intentionally, I have not included the well known 'functional' topics still tbd, such as the 'final' definition of the Thor25 mode and (hopefully) the improvement to further stabilize the AFC algorithm. If you consider any of these topics obsolete or simply not worth pursuing, please let me know, that I can take note to finally stop 'bugging' you about them. --- I attach the topics file mentioned therein once more, in case the old e-mail isn't available any more. Thank you, David! 73s Tobias .-.-. Am Freitag, 21. M?rz 2025 um 13:49:02 MEZ hat Dave via groups.io <w1hkj25@...> Folgendes geschrieben: at

FLRIG 2.0.05 and IC-7300 PTT/Transmit problems in CW

Anders Georgsson
I'm in the process of learning CW, using the MorseMania app and I'm doing really well on instant character recognition, but I have 0 sending skills at the moment.
?
I'd like to use FLRIG or FLDIGI to send CW but I'm having problems... when I use the CW Keyer in FLRIG, it doesn't trigger the IC-7300 to transmit?
If I use the same application to do FSK Keyer - it works fine...? And so does the "PTT" and "TUNE" button on the main FLRIG window... ?
Anyone have experiences with FLRIG and the IC-7300 CAT PTT? Here is how I have FLRIG configured:

Any and all reasonable suggestions are greatly appreciated ?

Re: New Computer
开云体育Hi Drew. I configured the Dell to match the Toshiba config. I’m wondering if the older Easy Digi might be the problem.Thank you for your response. 73, Ron On Mar 21, 2025, at 3:48?AM, Drew via groups.io <drinella@...> wrote:

New Computer
Hello, I've been using a WIN7 Toshiba Satellite for a long time. It is loaded with FLDIGI 4.0.18 and works quite well. I decided to move up to WIN10 and purchased a refurb Dell Optiplex 7010 quad core intel i7 3.4GB DDR3 ram ITB SSD running WIN10 pro. I tried using my Easy Digi by KF5INZ. Downloaded the latest config of FlDigi and not having much success interfacing with my Yaesu FTDX1200. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Just remember I'm a dinosaur stumbling along trying to figure this out.
Thank you, Ron Speer W6RRS |

Re: LK on at startup
Hello David, Welcome back :-) I tried the configuration feature but it also doesn't appear to store or restore the Lk setting. Only a Macro or pushing the Lk Button (possibly via an external script) appears to work. Basically, I would think it would be the most straightforward way (and place) to add this setting in the 'fldigi.prefs' configuration file, where we already have... sqlonoff:0 afconoff:0 ... by adding (storage and retrieval, of course) reverseonoff:0 On the other hand, the reverse state can actually be stored in a per-mode-per-band way by activating the respective config option, but even when I tried doing so, defining an RTTY frequency entry for 20 m, setting 'Rv' ON and restarting fldigi, it would not auto-restore the selected state. But when 'touching' the frequency, e.g. changing it from '14085' (previous QRG auto-reloaded) to '14086', 'Rv' comes on immediately, if stored before for the 20 m band in RTTY. So it's there already but just not entirely functional for the purpose of a non-attended startup. - - - - - - But now get this: After I tried this per-mode-per-band setting and switched this option OFF again, I noted that FLdigi actually started up with 'Rv' ON! Tried it several times... Checked the setting, and yes, it's not band-dependent, so what's going on? I thus opened the 'fldigi.prefs' configuration file, just the way I had described it above, and there it was, just with a slightly different key name: reverse:1 Now I tried setting this key back to '0' and fldigi actually started with 'Rv' OFF again, so that's the way to get it done, it seems! But beware: you'll have to manually edit (or, if not yet present, add) this line in the 'fldigi.prefs' configuration file and set it to 'reverse:1', with the per-mode-per-band option DEACTIVATED and while FLdigi does not run. Then you should be OK for the next FLdigi start(s) with 'Rv' auto-ON. Bottom line: FLdigi appears to read and obey this global config setting, but it does not store the last state in there, even when 'Save config' is selected upon close down. The opposite is the case using the per-mode-per-band option: Rv states are stored in the respective other file called 'mode_state.prefs', but the auto-reactivation only works when changing the tuned frequency (manually). Hope this will provide a functional clue... Thanks and 73s Tobias .-.-. Am Donnerstag, 20. The state of the LK button is not saved between sessions, however you can create a configuration script that will do just what you want.? Please see? 73, David On Tue, Mar 18, 2025 at 8:25?AM Randy Buxton, W4IFI via <randybuxton=[email protected]> wrote:

Restart. Yes. It's in the document. Making changes to the rig control especially and that's where most of the problems occur. best, jim/K2JJK On Tue, Mar 18, 2025 at 2:38?PM Anders Georgsson via <anders.georgsson=[email protected]> wrote:

Hmm - did have <# TXRSID:on> in my macro (which should mean that it isn't executed, right?) but I removed that line all together and it is still behaving this way.
The only button I have turned on at the top right in FlDigi is "Spot"...
?
I even tried turning that off but it still toggling the between TX/RX during the transmission of code...
?
I am not sure if I mentioned this in my original post but I'm using FLRIG to control my rig (so I can control it remotely) - if I use it's CW Keyer - the radio pulses the signal rather than keeping the transmitter on and playing the tone thru the integrated sound card as well?

Re: TenTec Jupiter FLRig config - help
Ron,
I have tried with my Jupiter (green screen) several times. No joy.? I have been successful when I select Pegasus mode. It works but of course you can only control from flrig.??
?
I didn't like that mode as I found it cumbersome to just scroll the band to listen to whomever was on.
