Hi John, Many thanks for info, . I must admit I'd thought it must have been something easy like that but was unsure whether there was another way I hadn't?thought of. I bought this garratt a few years ago at York MR Exhibition,?a project that had been started but badly assembled. I stripped it all down and started again. boiler and cab almost complete. so onto the chassis. this eventually will have DCC sound??The valvegear will be a separate sub assembly. I'll keep you updated on my progress, hopefully finished sometime next?year
