To show listening sockets (aka servers) on a Linux terminal;
sudo lsof -i -P -n | grep LISTEN
or
sudo netstat -tulpn | grep LISTEN

Re: Raspberry Pi, FLRig, rigctl problem
Phil,
if there's no server running that's listening on port XXXX, then the OS has nowhere to forward any connection request to. That triggers the ¡°actively refused¡± response from the OS.

Flrig these days, has a slide out button panel for "Extra Commands" that are user configurable, plus such settings get saved when you exit Flrig, and re-appear the next time you start Flrig.

Re: Raspberry Pi, FLRig, rigctl problem
Thanks Robin,
So it's not the server app that's "actively refused" the request but the OS the app is running on. I'll bear that in mind when I next drill down into my remote operating.

Re: flrig on bookworm strange switching antenna behaviour Yaesu FTdx 3000
John GW0WZL,
please see reply in message /g/linuxham/message/53331. Adding to that, I recall Dave, W1HKJ, noting that on the start-up of flrig the VFOs are somehow explored. If the

Re: Raspberry Pi, FLRig, rigctl problem
Phil, John (GW0WZL),
it's not a left-right pondian issue. ¡°Actively refused¡± means that the operating system (OS) has decided not to accept any connections on, in this case, port 4532. That will

Re: Fldigi Freezing
Hi Cliff,
I can't pin point any particular mode. This net did send a few Flamp's using 8psk1000f and I was receiving. I wasn't running Fllog and the only connection would have been local host to

Ron,
Is this on all modes or only one mode?
Fldigi will hang for 10 seconds or so if it loses it networking connection with fllog. It may also if it loses Internet connections. Need to check that

Fldigi Freezing
Hello Dave and the rest of the talented programming team.
My system is Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon. I use the Wiki to build the Fldigi suite. When I use Fldigi for a while, like on a net, it will freeze.

Re: flrig on bookworm strange switching antenna behaviour Yaesu FTdx 3000
John,
Not knowing the 3000 could it be that at some point you assigned different antenna jacks to different VFOs?
Normally the "use xcvr data" box is unchecked, but all the others are checked so the

Hi Cliff, Thanks for the reply, yes I have tried that and the 2 files attached on a previous post are the results of those tests with all boxes checked and all boxes unchecked
Thanks

Re: flrig on bookworm strange switching antenna behaviour Yaesu FTdx 3000
There could be a bug in flrig, but before we assume that try a few things.
1. In the flrig configuration go to the Restore page. Try checking all the boxes including "Use xcvr data" then close

On the Pi check that port 4532 is open.? "Actively refused" may mean that the server (in this case, the pi) is not accepting inbound connections on the port.? You will also want to be sure, on the

Re: Shell scripts for automatic logging to LoTW, Club Log and eQSL.cc
It does, John.....
Increasing the automation does require more 'juice' - causing me to justify the upgrades to my compute / storage / networking environments.
