¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, I¡¯m probably the culprit here, or one of them.? I believe it would be better to simply freeze and lock the sheet and cells that need to be untouched than completely removing the .ods files to the player.? ? I frequently take hours to try various hypothesis and optimize the route of ships and planes, and the sheet is essential for this work.? And it would bring even more work on the should of the referee which is not a good thing. ? Also note that the modification done to the sheet was in an attempt to provide proper data to the GPSVisualization site to generate .kmz files to get myself a good overview of the situation.? So, if the files was modified for this, I would need to work it all out. ? The Referee job is already a heavy workload, for the sake of your personal life, and the future of the group, is should be kept as low as possible. ? Salutations, ? ? Francis ? Gents, ? I had serious issues while running both Harpoon games recently. Some of you made some changes to their ods log sheet, with bad consequences. One player did change the structure of the document (erasing formulas or lines, etc.). Thereafter, the API no longer worked and I could not generate kmz files untill I rewrite the files. Another did change data from past turns. Consequently, it modified the current coordinates of the unit, that was 'teleported' from one point to another. As I did not realise it from the start, I had to manage a confused situation, then re-run the whole turn with the units at their correct position. I know that none of you had bad intentions and I am not angry at all. I just ask you to do your best untill I find a solution to the problem. I understand that the tools for PBEM are not perfect and allow easily errors. A possibiity would to let the referee enter data in the ods document. Players would issue their orders in the odt / doc file. Let me know what you think about that. ? Francis ? ? ? |
