Re: Antenna selection
You may be the exception. In my 30 yrs or so of hamming I have seen things. One guy had the SX-77?? It’s an amp using 2 8877 tubes capable of producing 3000 watts. Built a crappy antenna that

Hi Hiram,
I use my Elecraft KX2 as a QRP exciter to operate on 5346.5 kHz USB with my Elecraft KPA1500 set to Band 5; staying well within the permissible 100W PEP ERP limit.? The built-in ATU of my

Re: Antenna selection
Since we are on this topic, 30M is limited to 200w so an amplifier isn’t helping u much there either. Didn’t read all the replies but it seems to me people want to use an amp on frequencies that

Re: FCC ID: 2ANZ2-LA-1K
Lets end this nonsense now. FCC. regs state max power use on the 30 meter
band 200watts P.E.P. 60 meters 100 watts Max. Any questions.

Your answers could be answered with a call to Palstar, assuming they dont have your number blocked.

Re: FCC ID: 2ANZ2-LA-1K
Apologize for the rhetorical questions; answers to those questions should become apparent when you consider their claims, as seen near the top of the company's LA-1K page

FCC ID: 2ANZ2-LA-1K
Hello All,
The FCC ID on the back of my LA-1K reads 2ANZ2-LA-1K.? Did a FCC ID search for 2ANZ2-LA-1K on FCC.gov and was able to find the LA-1K EMC test report (Report No.: 100620-8) as submitted to

Re: Antenna selection
Depends on your country.? In the US, the max is 100W PEP ERP.? If you are using a 1/4 wave vertical, and a 100W RIG, you could not achieve 100W ERP without an amp.
FWIW, mine works fine on 60m, just

Re: Antenna selection
Everyone keeps saying 60 does not work on the LA-1K. It absolutely does on
mine. I just now hooked up the load resistor and tried it. CW 43 watts in
gives me 1002 out.
