Hi Dave,
For Decoder Pro?? Or, for the Wow decoder?? For Decoder Pro it's V4.12.? I don't see anywhere else other than the Roster Entry that tells me about the individual decoder, which is the following:
Decoder Family: Wow Steam Sound 4
Decoder Model: Wow Steam 101 SS4

I run 3 different computers, all running Windows 10, and keep the JMRI flies in a OneDrive directory. In Settings I point the File Locations to the OneDrive directory. Backup is to the local JMRI directory (because I¡¯m old and don¡¯t trust Microsoft). I keep both DecoderPro and PanelPro files on OneDrive. I¡¯ve never had a problem syncing between computers.

Hi Tony,
You've made things a bit complicated by assigning arrival and departure tracks to the program, but it is possible to assemble a train on a departure track using separate locations.? I would place both the arrival and departure tracks in a separate location.
Your route to assemble the train on the departure track would look like this:
engine yd -> classification yd -> departure yd (track)
Then you would create another train that leaves the departure yd and services your industry.
departure yd (track) -> specific industry -> arrival yd (track)
Then another train to disassemble the train:
arrival yd? (track) -> classification yd -> engine yd
The complication is specifying a departure and arrival track for the your trains.? The program when building the first train doesn't know which industry the train is for, and will have difficulties choosing the right cars. If you eliminated those tracks and used them to assemble the train without the program knowing about them, your route is simplified to this:
engine yd -> classification yd -> specific industry -> classification yd -> engine yd
The program will only pull cars from your classification yd that the specific industry needs.? You only need one train to do this route, rather than three with your approach.

USB stick? Which Pi? Hard to do on Pi Zero, not impossible, just hard. E-mail - Raspbian in cludes Chrome so a gmail account would work. I used a removable USB hard drive to transfer to my Pi2.

? ? ?A while back TCS told me to remove the Keep Alive pack to program succesfully.? If you dont want to do that I suggest using the PTB100 programming booster.? Also I use Page mode in reading and writing my WOW decoders.
? ? ?Install a couple of track bumpers on your programming track to keep them from leaving the track and clean that track often.

Hi, Way back in May I asked you good people for help. I was using PanelPro but couldn't access the tables. I was running version 4.11 so you advised an update to version 4.12.
We were preparing our large layout for it's first public show so were reluctant to change a system that was working (even with the tables hidden).
I'm reporting here that the show was a success and that I've now updated to 4.12 and the tables have been revealed.

I'm using 'Resilio Sync' () to sync a MAC, a Windows 10 PC and a Raspberry Pi.
It's a peer-to-peer solution (no server).
I found it the lighter solution for Pi.
I also created a 'hard link' on the windows 10 PC to mirror dirs/files with Google Drive (but this is not needed).

Point taken and observed, David.? I did observe a few initial "No loco detected (301)" errors reading another WowDiesel locomotive.? Once I cleaned the wheels the previous errors were corrected by individually clicking the read buttons next to the CVs.? After that I was able to write the full sheet without any errors.
The use of the roller bearing stand is still preferable though, as the locomotive moves a little or a lot along my short 27" programming track, depending on the CV read.

Another thing that needs doing when reading/writing TCS WOW decoders is to go to Preferences->Roster->Programmer and disable: - Allow caching when writing index CVs for read or write operations.
- When possible, confirm CV writes by following them with a read.
We have an issue active <>?and the plan is to disable these automatically with TCS WOW decoders.

I'm afraid that Digitrax document is not very helpful (actually probably misleading).
Here are some correct instructions:
Irrespective of DCC system, there are some basic rules for troubleshooting any USB-attached device to a Mac.
Plug your device into your Mac.
Go to "System Information" from Apple Menu->About This Mac->More Info->System Report.
Look in the USB section, expand all sections under controllers and hubs and see what devices are present.
Unplug your device, select Refresh from the System Profiler menus and see what device has disappeared. Plug your device back in, refresh again and see what reappears. Repeat until you see what is changing. If there is no change, there must be a hardware problem external to your Mac, such as a faulty USB cable, connector or device and there is no point going any further until your Mac can see the physical device.
Once you have seen the device in System Profiler, you will quite likely have to install Mac drivers for it (although some do not need extra drivers, see your documentation). If unsure, try the next step anyway.
Unplug your device. Open a Terminal Window (from /Applications/Utilities), copy and paste the following command in EXACTLY (including spaces and punctuation) then press Enter.

This command should show about 10 lines of output and then sit looping, with a counter incrementing every second.
Plug your device back in and wait a few seconds. Two new items with names like ?cu.xxx and tty.xxx should appear in the list. They should disappear if you unplug your device. If this does not happen, you do not have the correct drivers installed for your device and you will need to solve that before proceeding further. Once you have found your device, write down the name you see.You want the cu.xxx version not the tty.xxx version.
If you have got this far you know your device is be being seen by the Mac, that it has a matching driver installed and the name of the connection port "cu.xxx" you need to select in JMRI. If you cannot get this far, there's no way JMRI can find your device until the driver issue is resolved.
Please report back exactly how far you get.

get an answer from you Digitrax-JMRI "Gurus" on this question.
I'll go into the WiThrottle issues after this one gets answered.

That's the name of the profile you are using and the name was historic. You can change the Profile Name in Preferences->Config Profiles.

The only thing I can advise is to make sure your programming track is very clean.? If the track is dirty at all then Decoder Pro might have errors.? I use a programming track and a Sprog 3 to program all of my decoders using Decoder Pro including WOW, Lok Sound and Soundtraxx decoders and rarely experience difficulties.? If I have problems it usually is caused by dirty wheels on the locomotive or a dirty programming track.? The only decoders that I have ever experienced problems programming using Decoder Pro are a couple of locomotives equipped with QSI decoders.

It all depends how long the decoder was "on the shelf". A
gentlemen near me bought two WOW steam decoders a month ago - the
firmware on both was 16 June 2016 and they were Ver 3 sound. All
dealers should have returned there stock to TCS when the Upgrade
Offer was announced. My dealer did that!

Someone on another forum suggested that the stands are providing needed resistance and that is what's helping Decoder Pro with the read/write issue.? All I know is that w/o the stand I got reading errors using Decoder Pro and with the stand I get zero errors.

Cannot edit problem turnouts
I have recently updated to 4.12 and now find that when I open my panelpro file I have errors on three turnouts of missing blocks. I would normally just right click on the turnout that needs attention but for these three turnouts right clicking does nothing. I have uploaded my xml file and console log to Problem with editing turnouts in Problems being worked on. I see that there also other problems in the console log but I'm unsure whether these are serious or not as I don't really know what is being complained about. I'm sure with a previous version of JMRI I had this layout opening without errors. Any help gladly received. Thanks Fraser

As you may see should you log onto the site, the images are stripped from your post. If you want them inline, the only way to do that is to post them elsewhere, and include links to them embedded in your mail (then they'll show up as thumbnails that can be clicked quite comfortably). The only other alternative is to upload them separately into the files area. Wouter
