Re: 12 hour JMRI clocks
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSome changes might not be hard to make. Example the LCD clock. Add a digit, create two icons, one AM, one PM. Those go into the new digit location. Since we¡¯ve added icons to the set for the LCD clock for use a volt/amp meter display, we can extend it easily. ? Nixie clock would be hardest. Matching that, I don¡¯t know, those are photos of the real thing. Closest I¡¯d guess for that would be a pair (or single) LED graphic to show the state of AM/PM. Or maybe modify the colon to blink for PM? ? The Pragotron, another I¡¯d really don¡¯t know. But is it straight graphics, so more possibility for somebody to create a matching graphic. Or are those also pictures? At least it isn¡¯t really good as the original would ¡®flip¡¯ the numbers (aka the clock next to the bed in Groundhog day) which was cool but would have required an animated graphic for each number transition. ? -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýbilly BobThat¡¯s how most requirement definitions for business systems work. ?You ?get vague ideas, followed by ¡°that¡¯s not what I wanted¡± when you deliver something. ?Followed up by ¡°I¡¯m not sure what I want, but it isn¡¯t that¡±¡. Assuming the IMCURRENTTIME memory variable has not been deleted, a memory label is a simple clock. We haven't heard anything more than "it isn't what I want". Perhaps someone else needs to work on this, because I am rapidly losing interest. |

Re: 12 hour JMRI clocks
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýConsidering that JMRI has the hooks for dealing with 12 vs 24 hour time since some of the systems it ties to knows of both time formats, it shouldn¡¯t be hard of the programming side. ? But as others have pointed out defining how it will look is really the harder part. Example the dial clock does it via a small AM or PM on the dial face. Once a definition is stable, the implementation shouldn¡¯t be too much work for somebody. ? -Ken Cameron, Member JMRI Dev Team

To include AM / PM / am / pm ?? This would require someone to volunteer new graphics.
?
If the meridiem suffix isn't required it's a fair bit easier ;-)

But wouldn't analog clocks be prototypical for a railroad that used a 12 hour clock?(In my opinion, this is an "owner's preference question", not a question of "prototypicalness". Especially since the typical computer which can run JMRI has existed for fewer than 25ish years, when trains have existed for around 200ish years.) |

Tracy - I'm not sure what you're actually doing but here is the lonk for the Java 17 JRE DMG:

I could not find any Java JRE .DMG downloads on Azul.com, only.zip and .tar.gz downloads. ?Those unzip but don¡¯t install. ?I have no idea what to do with the unzipped files. ?Just unzipping them doesn¡¯t result in a Java that Decoder Pro can find. ?Java 17 was recommended in another reply here and Decoder Pro could not find any Java with Java 17 installed. ?I downloaded a Java 11 JDK .DMG from Azul.com and that is the only download that will install anything Decoder Pro can find and work with. So, yes, I did try the .dmg download from Azul.com. Tracy |

Re: Need Help Creating a Power Panel for my Layout
What version of EB1 do you have. I have modified a circuit that was on Tony's Train Exchange for DCC Specialties. I have a remote panel on front of layout to let me know when I have a short along with being able to have a JMRI Panel. If interested contact me.
