?I found the tree command I was looking for by using "s" instead of "d".
Question - - ->
I have a friend with a MAC and is teaching me about JMRI a bit.? I have a RPi3B+ and we are trading the panel file back and forth.? He claims I let out a flew of folders?????
But - -he is loosing through the LENS of MAC and I thru the Rpi.
The JMRI folder listing look radically different.
Do you see a problem with one person on a MAC ant the other on a RPi attempting what the one is doing by the other?

You switched to DecoderPro. ?It does not have the final message that PanelPro has: ?Main initialization done
You might also try removing (or renaming) the jre directory that you added to the JMRI install.
The start scripts use a terminal command to find Java.
/usr/libexec/java_home
Try running that to see what macOS considers to be your Java install.

Java appears to be working ok.
You should have a session.log file at ~/Library/Preferences/JMRI/log. ?Attach that in a reply.

On the client, you need to manually enter the connection letter to match that of the server, so your panels will work.

Can anyone tell me when or what JMRI version (Decoder Pro) the decoder definition for the SoundTraxx BLU-4408 is ?located?

I¡¯m currently running JMRI 5.4.

Interrogating the BLU-4408 decoder (using the New Loco dialog) finds only BLU-2200 definitions.

Hi all. Set up a second computer with JMRI to be a simple server client. Went through the process of setting up the server and client. The client will connect to the server. However I can not load any panels on the client that reside on the server.
Optionally I put the panel I wanted locally on the client. When something is changed on the server panel it reflects the change on the client. However I cannot change anything on the layout when I click on the client panel and no changes are reflected on the server panel.
Firewalls have been turned off for testing. Any thoughts on getting this to work.?

Since you deleted ~/Library/Preferences/JMRI, the base user data has to be re-created including creating the My_JMRI_Railroad.jmri profile. ?The new profile requires defining a connection. ?The preferences help page is automatically opened using your default browser.
If Safari is your default browser, you need to enable "Show features for web developers" in Safari "Settings => Advanced".
You might have been able to close the browser window and finish configuring JMRI.
Note: ?I use the Azul Java 11 for macOS. ?I don't move Java to the jre directory.

I downloaded the 5.4 release from:?
I installed it per the whole drag the jmri folder into the applications folder easy-mode-seems-fine process. I deleted both the preferences and old application folder before doing this.
I go to start e.g., PanelPro, it goes to the screen where it shows the splash page, then it goes to the page where it shows loading logic, then the application crashes and sends me to? file:///Users/david/jmrihelp/stub.html
I am sure I missed some obvious thing, but does anyone have any idea what to do next to get JMRI working again?
