Locked How to configure two turnout that share a single output using Panel Pro

On my railroad I have two turnouts that form two corners of a wye with a crossing forming the third. The turnouts are driven from one DS54 output. I can't seem to configure Panel Pro to control the turnout pair regardless of which one you select. I can't draw the configuration as a crossing yet it appears that is what I need to control them. I am looking for suggestions.

Locked Re: JMRI sensors DCC++ and invalid XML files

Dave,

What version of JMRI are you using?

If possible, please upload the XML file to the ProblemsBeingWorkedOn area. This is the best way for us to diagnose the XML validation errors.

Locked Duplicate Sensor Names - Problem with scope of test

David Parks

If the domain of the Sensor Table window display is restricted to a single
connection (i.e. LCC) the other connections are not checked for a possible
duplicate User Name. Then if the file is saved with a duplicate User Name,
JMRI "hangs" during the reload of the XML file because of a JAVA error. A
warning of a duplicate sensor is given, but it cannot be corrected in JMRI
because the file will not load.

The test was discovered in JMRI 4.7.4ish and the unique name search error
may apply to other entities besides Sensors. I have back up files so I am
not in any jeopardy.

Locked JMRI sensors DCC++ and invalid XML files

I have used DCC++ for a while but I am a newcomer to JMRI.

When I create sensors in JMRI PanelPro and save the config, then when I restart PanelPro or if I use the debug->validate XML file, I get reports that the XML file is invalid and it complasins about various expected items being missing.

I first tried with DCC++ already having lots of turnouts, sensors etc in it knowledge (from before as we had been using just DCC++ itself on its own) and the then added sensors in PanelPro but saved XML files fail checking.

I then completely cleared DCC++ knowledge and started creating sensors in JMRI and using JMRI DCC++ menu to transfer that to DCC++ but the PanelPro saved XML files still fail on XML checking.

Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong? Does JMRI PanelPro have some errors if it is creating invalid XML files?

Thanks, Dave Price

Locked Decoder pro

Hello
I was happy to have loaded the JMRI version 4.7.6 down two days ago. After the installation on my iMac with Sierra 10.12.5, I could immediately open decoder Pro and with my Lenz digital control to connect (I've noticed the Notes migration). All functions could be opened directly, such as new locomotive or train controller (throttle).
Today, the joy is already over. Decoder Pro opens though, the Windows need but a long time for changes.
In the middle of the window located above button is yellow. Usually it is green or red.
Who can help?
Thank you
with kind regards

What language shows on the main screen? It¡¯ll be either ¡°en_US¡± or ¡°en_GB¡± at the end of the last line.

If it¡¯s en_GB, that¡¯s your problem. Go to Preferences -> Display -> Locale tab and make sure that ¡°English (United States)¡± is selected. Then save and restart.

Locked Re: Chromebook w/LXDE Can't Access Serial Ports

Thank you for the help. Perhaps that could be added to the Linux FAQ?

Anyway, when I tried the first command I noticed two lines coming and going, one called "serial" and the other ttyUSB0, so I tried the command with 'serial" instead of "dialout." That worked, so now I can access my layout with the Chromebook. WiThrottle doesn't seem to work very well, though, perhaps because the wireless is upstairs and the layout is in the basement? That would seem to be a topic for another post...

Locked Re: JMRI in edit only mode

Dave,

That did the trick even though I did not change anything! I went into preferences, saw that everything was selected for NCE. I clicked X to close the window and another popped up stating there are unsaved changes, do you wish to save. I clicked save which prompted me to restart Decoderpro. Once restarted, service mode and operations mode is now green. I now can read a decoder!
Thank you again for your help.

Best regards,

Stephen

Hello,

A new att.net is here!

By now we hope you?ve taken a look at the new att.net and encourage you to provide feedback on the enhanced features we?ve added.

We?d like to remind you that after June 28, 2017 you will no longer be able to access most Yahoo sites and apps with your AT&T login. However, we?ll maintain your access to Flickr, Tumblr, Fantasy Sports, Yahoo Groups and My Yahoo for a few more months. There will be no changes with your AT&T Mail account.

We recommend you move your Yahoo accounts to a new Yahoo ID to maintain access to your data in the future. We?ve outlined the easy-to-follow steps on our AT&T Support Page.

Thanks for choosing us,

AT&T.

Locked Re: layout editor assign turnout name

I just tested this and everything worked as expected. Futzing around a little bit I was able to get it to behave similar to the manor you describe by trying to assign a turnout that had already been assigned as a secondary turnout for a different layout turnout. Note that when I'm unable to close the turnout editor there is a stack trace in the session.log file. If you can, find that file and send it to me (<geowar1 @ mac dot com>) I can have another look see.
