Re: [IC-7000] IC7000 Internal Clock Problem
From 1979, the time of my licensing, to May of this year, I never had a rig with a clock. Most had tubes. Does the rig work? Do you make contacts? Get good reports? Very sorry, but I fail to see the

IC7000 Internal Clock Problem
Has anyone else experienced a problem with the clock on the display losing time? After setting the time to WWV, I lose a minute about every two weeks and have to reset the clock. Rig is used as a base

Re: [IC-7000] RE: display problem
Also remember to secure the extension cable, if used, with the small screw that was supplied. If rig will have a higher susceptiblity to RFI without it. Perry K4PWO Sent from my Galaxy S?III

Re: display problem
First question: . . . Is the control head separated from the body of the rig? Second question: . . . If so, do you have ferrites on the control cable between the two? Third question: . . . Have you

Re: [IC-7000] e-mial via RMS Express
It could simply be a lack of RMS stations within your area. Also, propagation can sometimes be weird. I had one morning where all the highly ranked "local" gateways were inaccessible, and the only

Re: display problem
I would track down shelding. I have seen some talk of checking the spring fenders on shield covers. I had a WWll signal generator with a pincil tube. It was a constant effort to track down leakage

Re: [IC-7000] display problem
Tom, Try checking the power leads with a scope and verify that there is no crud on the supply. Also check voltage levels. You could also remove every excess lead from the radio when you test. Finally

G'day all, I received my working IC-7000 back this morning, I have popped the bottom lid to have a peak on what was replaced, however as it seems there is a fair bit of de-soldering to do to get what

Re: Which CAT cable
I have three of the G4ZLP interfaces and they work fine with all of my rigs including the IC7000 If you can stretch to it the Digimaster Pro Three is really great with built in Winkeyer and FSK chip

Re: [IC-7000] Which CAT cable
I use a G4ZLP interface which connects to the PC via USB and came with an appropriate cable for the CI-V port. It also came with the correct cable to interface to the AUX port on the back of the radio

Re: [IC-7000] e-mial via RMS Express
Another thing I did was to set the CIV port baudrate to 19200 baud, rather than the default "auto detect". I didn't have much luck with auto detection with some software. Some software vendors also
