I have an issue with? =the display on my unit and hope somebody
can give me some incite.? I have had my 7000 for a couple of years
now.? A month or so ago, while operating all of a sudden every
time I transmitted my screen got "wavy."? As soon as I stopped
transmitting the display went back to normal.? I did a hard reset
and it seemed to fix the problem.? Last weekend I had the exact
same experience?but this? time doing a hard reset did not correct
the problem.? I tried my radio in a couple of other modes and the
same thing happened.? Transmit = wavy display.? Not transmitting =
wavy display.? My guess is that there is some stray RF getting
into my radio but I don't know if that is correct or if it is,
what could be causing it.? There are not any new electronics or
electrical systems/sources in my home.? Everything is the way it
always has been.? Any assistance that?anyone could be provide would be much
appreciated.? Thanks, Tom
Whenever I've had this issue, it's been due to stray RF.
