I recently had this same issue. I checked all kinds of things but ultimately it was exactly what? John Denison?wrote. Pull the fuses out of the line, and either replace them or clean the contacts. This fixed my issue immediately and I’m almost willing to be the cost of two new fuses its your issue too.

Connect a dummy load. If the radio works fine then likley there's an issue with the antenna installation such as coax, connectors, etc.

As I remember (and I could have this backwards) in digital the front mike on the head is muted so that your noise in the shack will not be transmitted, but the other mike jack is not.
The IC-7000 is what I had when I got back into ham radio 5 years ago and it works great on Ft-8.

The x00/x01 in decimal happen to be equivalent to their Hex representations in decimal, but all the values listed in these commands are in hex and are sent as 2 characters 00-FF. That's what the "x" is indicating.
It's a small distinction but hex and binary are not the same.
