Re: IC-7000 Shuts Down When Keyed
开云体育I recently had this same issue. I checked all kinds of things but ultimately it was exactly what?John Denison?wrote. Pull the fuses out of the line, and either replace them or clean the contacts. This fixed my issue immediately and I’m almost willing to be the cost of two new fuses its your issue too.73 Keith, WA0?TJT Author: https://net-control.us ARRL ARES?Communicator?Level 2, AEC for?Platte Co. I know its not a low voltage issue.??I have it hooked directly to a fully charged LiFePO4 100ah battery (13.4v fully charged).? Voltage drop when keyed is less than a tenth of a volt.? The radio is grounded with a 12" 12awg wire directly to mounting bolt of seat belt (so excellent ground). I thought an RFI issue, but even when RF Power is turned totally down(</=5w, it still shuts off.?? What am I missing???? Any help would be great appreciated. Mike |

Re: Memory bank selection question
I've only ever been able to change banks through the M2, MEM, LST, BNK menu. With the PBT LED off the small knob is M-ch and the outer knob is RIT. I'm not aware of a menu setting that changes the functionality of these controls.

However, if you are using the HM-151 microphone you can configure the F-1 or F-2 soft keys for the BNK function. 73 Steve KC4SM Feb 15, 2024 4:59:00 PM Michael Gardner via groups.io <mlgardner96@...>:

Memory bank selection question
I have numerous frequencies in all five memory banks. Using the PBT/M-ch knobs (with PBT disengaged-green light out) I can select channels turning the outer knob but I can no longer select banks with the inner knob which worked previously. I have read through the manual on this subject. I can go into the menu with the frequency/bank list and change banks that way.
I am wondering if I have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere that is causing this problem with not being able to use the knob to select banks. Thanks for any info, Michael Gardner K1MLG |
Re: ic-7000 settings for data modes
As I remember (and I could have this backwards) in digital the front mike on the head is muted so that your noise in the shack will not be transmitted, but the other mike jack is not.
The IC-7000 is what I had when I got back into ham radio 5 years ago and it works great on Ft-8. |

Re: CAT control of 9600/1200 bps data port
>Note binary for "0" and "1" data values. The x00/x01 in decimal happen to be equivalent to their Hex representations in decimal, but all the values listed in these commands are in hex and are sent as 2 characters 00-FF. That's what the "x" is indicating. It's a small distinction but hex and binary are not the same. 73 Danny, K5CG HH 550-000-0609 SKCC 14257 From: "John Spoonhower" <jpspoonhower@...> To: "ic7000" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 14, 2024 8:43:41 AM Subject: Re: [ic7000] CAT control of 9600/1200 bps data port Many thanks to those who offered suggestions.
