let us review here what are the best settings for working digiral modes with ICOM IC 7000
After some years of trials I ended up in these conclusions:
Configuration:
West Mountain Radio - PLug&PLay adapter for CAT control
Ham Radio Deluxe HRD - Rig Control?
WSJT-X software
IC-7000 optimal settings as of now:
HF: Preamp OFF, Att ON?
Preamp OFF, Att ON, AGC OFF (AGC Slow+AGC Constant 0), RF Gain max, Mode USB, Filter 3.2 KHz
VHF UHF:
Preamp OFF, Att OFF, AGC OFF (AGC Slow+AGC Constant 0), RF Gain max, Mode USB, Filter 3.2 KHz
Noise Reduction, Noise Blocker , Notch filters are OFF
Audio Compression is set to minimum (or OFF)
In WSJT-X I configure Radio as Ham Radio Deluxe, PTT on RTS, Mode USB and Split on Rig?
Any comments or possible improvements on this?
