Re: Service Menu IC-7000 Tune Power for a Screwdriver/controller
The rocker switches are what I started with. To change bands one needs to stop the vehicle or risk a violent/fiery death. The thing is, it works MOST of the time, until it doesn't, usually on 80/40.
Re: Service Menu IC-7000 Tune Power for a Screwdriver/controller
I was never happy with any auto-tuners I has thrown money at. I found them to be sensitive to RF no matter what I did. The fact that they told you to lower tuning power is a proof yo what I

Service Menu IC-7000 Tune Power for a Screwdriver/controller
Hello I am trying to finish up my mobile HF installation. Still having some issues, but I've grounded and bonded the radio, antenna, etc. very well (maybe however, not well enough). I've also

Re: Power Out
Ed, out of curiosity, what power level do you use on FT8 with your 7000. 73, Larry W7DGP

Thanks for the input. The radio now works correctly. [email protected]> wrote:

Re: Power Out
Ed, It's not the radio. On your computer that you're using for FT-8,? Increase the drive on your USB Audio Codec. Like Don said, there's not enough drive from the sound card.

Re: Power Out
This may mean that the audio out from the FT8 software is too low. The strength of the SSB signal is in part controlled by the strength of the audio signal being tranmiitted. [email protected]>

Power Out
My radio has full power out in SSB and very little power out in FT modes. Help. ED KE6SU

2.3dB extra will not even move the S meter, say at 50 Watts 73 Andrew ?Get BlueMail for Android ?

Re: Toptek PA-85V VHF amplifier
Note the radio is rated 50W,? moving up to 85W is a very marginal increase and one I'd not persue.? ?Basically if you don't double your power its not worth the effort.? I assume you using low loss

Have used mine for a good number of years. you don,t say what antenna you're using. I use a 10 element yagi vertically polarised. 73 colin vk3zzs [email protected]> wrote:

Toptek PA-85V VHF amplifier
Has anyone used this amplifier for the VHF side of their IC-7000? Have reached my height limit for my antenna, am hitting the repeater I need but there is noise on my signal. Was hoping 85 watts would

Re: IC-7000 with full ALC in HF
How does the ALC behave using SSB, where are you feeding in the RTTY signals? On SSB set mic gain to zero, there should be no ALC when you speak. 73 Andrew ?Get BlueMail for Android ?

Re: IC-7000 with full ALC in HF
The ALC is derived from the forward power senseor. As the power control is working, the fault dhould not br too difficult KR Andrew ?Get BlueMail for Android ?

Dear Tommy, When we switch on the radio the relay vibrates indefinitely and won't switch on..i thought it may be cpu issue so got one cpu and replaced but the problem persists, i can send that extra
