Re: joining ibmpensionissues

Roger,
Your email address is shown in the member list of this group: rmeggy @ bellsouth.net Joined: 05 Nov, 2013 but is not linked to your attila2560 Yahoo id. I suspect that the issue with your attempt to "join" is that you do not have a Yahoo ID linked to your email address for this group that allows you to see the messages on the web. Try this: 1. Log into Yahoo with your attila2560 Yahoo ID. 2. Click on All My Groups which takes you to: 3. Click on Membership Wizard on the top right which takes you to: 4. Click on Move on the top right. This process should work for most cases. Hopes this works for you. ? ---In ibmpensionissues@..., <rmeggy@...> wrote : When I try to join this group I receive the following message: Verify Your Email Address Your email address is not linked to a Yahoo ID. Moderation on ibmpension
c25years
It appears that I am not the only one who is not happy with the moderation on the ibmpension group. It is inconsistent and frustrating and makes the group much less useful than it could be. But what can be done about? Is there any means to make the moderators aware of the dissatisfaction? Protest? Vote? Exit? Other ideas? Does anybody really care?

Re: Financial Advice. Really?
"All posts are moderated." All posts are not moderated. Most are moderated but not all. But the moderators must think that the sheeple will believe them if they keep saying this. If it is a financial conversation, it will be scrutinized to make sure you are not hyping anything or another site." Unless the moderators have some topic that they want to be hyped. "If you post how well you manage your money, it won't be approved for posting." Unless the moderators want to make a point about the right way to manage money. "If it is political, it won't be approved for posting." Unless it is from the correct side of the political aisle. ---In IBMpensionissues@..., <no_reply@...> wrote : Once again, inconsistent moderation is really lowering value of time spent in the IBMPENSION. Action taken on recent spam messages
ret99_99
This group was subject to a spam attack of 9 messages from ibmpensionissues @ ibmpensionissues.aymrt.com.
The 9 spam messages have been deleted and the spammer's posting privileges have been revoked. Group settings have been changed to "Messages from new members require approval" to stop future spam attacks. I regret that several members left the group due to this wave of spam. |

Re: Is meaningful participation in ibmpension group forever declining?

Hello swimplaps123, Unfortunately, Yahoo groups does not currently have such a setting to automatically ignore users as far as I know. I wish they did. They do have an "Ignore User" function on the Yahoo finance boards such as this one: although that board is a waste of anyone's time except the pump and dumpers. When I say ignore most of the posters on the ibmpension group, I mean that I just look at the Conversations list and just skip over any posts made by primos, trex, etc.

Yep, the moderation is real crappy and they always allow the rumor-starting,whiny lady from Greenwich CT to rant with never any real contributions except silly acronyms, stuck keys, etc.? May even be a slight mental illness case. Oh well.

justa_bean_counter's response to trex's question is not surprising but quite funny:

The posters who have been referred to as CAs are tired of being called CAs and have decided not to bother responding to trex, primos, the Dons, or any of the other disgruntles. In either case, what will the disgruntles do if their opportunities to counter dry up? |
