Re: Output power
Hi I would say you need a new final unit, when this happens with output on VHF and UHF , it is only one of the tranny's is dead , but it is easier to change the final unit, Dave 2E0DMB On Thu, 13 Oct 2022, 22:17 Douglas Richards, <ve3ffr@...> wrote:

All antennas are on the rear. Douglas? You might want to check the antenna selection for HF, it can be selected either for front ant or rear ant, if your using the wrong one you wont get any output as the radio will fold back power. |

Re: Chinese FT-817 TCXO?
Thank you Steve, that is the information I was looking for. I was
wondering if there were some variations between samples of these Chinese TCXOs to see if it was worth bothering with. I have no issues with the stock local oscillator, but if I ever wanted to do WSPR on 2m or something it could be problematic. So it sounded like a cheap upgrade. The "OEM" ones that people have posted here look a little different than the OEM ones I have seen in images online. Maybe Yaesu changed up their parts on them, and I don't see the maker stamp Yaesu on them either. On Thu, Oct 13, 2022 at 12:20 PM Steve Sawicki via groups.io <ab2et@...> wrote:

I do not want to read all of this addressed to me.? It is more bothersome and time wasting that the new group itself. I meant well, but it was a bad idea evidently. ? |

The principal reason for another group is often just an ego trip for someone wanting to be "moderator" and find their name in print. On Thu, Oct 13, 2022 at 2:30 PM Ron Wright via <lt_wright_flg=[email protected]> wrote:
