I'm a member of a bunch of groups.io groups, and occasionally a member or two will complain about the decisions the moderators/administrators/etc make regarding certain threads, topics, etc and declare their intention to break free of this 'tyranny' (my word) and build their own group. I saw this in the invitation:

"Uncensored, unmoderated group for Yaesu FT-818 radio enthusiasts"

I read that and assume that is the motivation here.
