Cliff,
after posting i realized that i should have added some details. figured, i will wait to see if there is any interest to start with. but since you brought it up, here it goes:
made out of CR1018 0.5” x 1.25” flat bar stock. you need to let me know if your machine is xroll or pre-xroll. i cannot guarantee compatibility with non-felder machines.
nut length is 2” but you can specify any length at $1/in for nuts over 2” in length. if shipping is affected i will let you know.
one tapped hole of your choice in the middle of the nut from std offerings up to M8 or 5/16” and associated coarse thread.
i will entertain your need outside what i have listed above as long as i have the tap, just let me know what you need.

i got a question on tolerance for the nut. i had not looked this up before but i found general info for CR1018 in the size i plan to use and tolerance is +0/-0.004. i will verify with supplier on monday and share if it is different.
i also measured the one nut that i built earlier this yr. it meets the tolerance given above. this is a ~4” long nut.
above is xroll. the bottom edges will be chamfered for pre-xroll.

Mac,
one i have from felder for KF700 xcut fence (one that floats in slot, not the fixed one) is flat and not t-nut.? it measured 30x10mm i did not measure the length. no chamfers. BTW, what is the benefit of a T-Nut?
i have only shipped ~150 in 1.25”x0.5” with no complaints. i just carried fwd the stock established by the original big squeeze. many ways to skin a cat ?

Imran, I can think of a few benefits of a t-nut over non T, one would be additional pull out strength due more threads in a softer material like an aluminum or even steel if the application calls for it the other would be if you require guidance I suppose?

Mark,
i guess i can see benefit in softer material however, that is due to material not due to application. Felder provides T-Nuts for the secured nut for the short xcut fence. these are secured by cap screws so i take it they went with the t nut for space required to recess them. as for guidance, i have zero issues with sliding big squeeze clamps in the slot.
i wondered if they are meant to limit pinch force but i do not think they are made to a tolerance to work as such. not sure if it is even possible because of variation i have seen in slider slot lip thickness.

Mark,
interesting that your come off as it is essentially same size as mine. seems like, you may have seen the pic i sent you where i showed the slight slot i made in the slider handle. the nut you show has a generous round over, perhaps that helped. i also wonder if the handle is slightly diff. does your look like this:
i know couple of other folks may have this issue. if you do not want to shorten the nut this is an option.

i guess i can see benefit in softer material however, that is due to material not due to application.

I have been looking for t-nuts and other accessories for my Frankenstein slider. According to the small shop in Dallas that I bought the saw from, the slider portion is from an Italian manufacturer but I was never able to get the name of the company. The rest of the saw was spec'd in Taiwan. I have looked online many times trying to find a slider that looked like the one I have but haven't come up with anything yet. Below is a picture with the measurements.

Imran you asked why do I shoulder my T nuts, simple answer is ,,,,I can.? My mills don’t have a none shoulder t nuts so I don’t think your saw should also .? I build a custom clamps and it is all in the details . Nice sliding t nuts that are smooth and don’t mar your slider and don’t rust are a few of the reasons.? I make many sizes and shapes for that new, or old ?Altendorf to new or old Martins ?to Felder’s of all types to tiny little Hammers. They are T Nuts that’s why they are called that.? Mac,
milled product is surely beautiful but i honestly wanted to know the benefit of a true t-nut. there is reasonable amount of time involved in a milled nut so it is justifiably expensive.
what i am offering is basic and from my experience they do the job. unfortunately there is nothing special about these nuts, so my attention to detail may not be duper useful, LOL.
i consider it a service to members as there is no money making in this. i will drive 40 mins one way to my friend to cut them on his band saw. then i drill them progressively on DP to the tap size and finally tap them by hand. $15/nut does not come close to what my time alone is worth not to mention tool wear. i am slowly trying to get into metal work and oddly enough a dozen of these is just enough to make it enjoyable.
