Re: New options to upgrade a Felder Straight cutter head
Bryce, I'm not sure if it was you commenting when you had upgraded your cutterhead, but the revelation that it seemed to lack the power that it had with straight knives combined with the intimidation

Christmas in November
Just got a new saw today! Ordered in March, so it has been a long wait. Unfortunately Felder shipped someone else¡¯s slider with it. The first thing the rigger brought in was that incorrect slider,

Re: FB510 bandsaw tire
How do you know that Rod? i.e have you stretched out the tire to find out, like so... Or measured them?.... As the profile disappears when the rubber is bent around a circumference I didn't find this

Re: New options to upgrade a Felder Straight cutter head
That looks like a much nicer looking head than the one i put in my CF531. One thing i noticed when i did, was that the machine seemed a little underpowered compared to the original 4 knife head. In

Re: FB510 bandsaw tire
Tom, the FB510 tires are rectangular in profile, they aren¡¯t meant to have camber. Regards, Rod.

Re: Felder 3 Phase Setup: Hardwired? Or Plug Into Outlet?
Understood. I'm having the same challenge - it doesn't look like there's an 80A GFCI breaker.

Re: Felder 3 Phase Setup: Hardwired? Or Plug Into Outlet?
in hindsight I should probably use a larger breaker, but I am only using a 60A breaker. When I installed the breaker, I only had a single 3P machine that use 5.5kW so I thought I have plenty of

Re: Felder 3 Phase Setup: Hardwired? Or Plug Into Outlet?
Thanks for the info! Are you using an 80A breaker on the PTE010? Can you share the product you're using for that?

New options to upgrade a Felder Straight cutter head
Just saw this video. Seems very affordable and may offer solutions to larger machines as well. Looks just like a Silent cutter head. https://youtu.be/I8XOZ3K2raA?si=BGGV4v9LHF9sMVmY PK

Re: Fitting a mobile base to a Hammer A3-31
Hi Aaron The weight of the A3-31 is enough to prevent any movement when work is passed over or through the machine. As a result, I leave it resting on the wheels. The original lever/lift actually is

Re: FB510 bandsaw tire
Hi Chris, that was a common failure with the tires on the FB510 at one point. Felder have a new tire 505-15-4562 which is green in colour and seems to solved the issue. Regards, Rod.

I'd guess the wheels need to be aligned if it's throwing tires, sounds very dangerous, as per an ongoing thread on lumberjocks, of which below I've screenshot. (yes it seems the RPM was altered, but

Laguna recharges Resaw King blades for reasonable prices. They are good for veneer slicing. Adjust for drift and parallel cutting and feed at a steady rate for best results.
