Re: 3d Dro stop
Checked out some print sites. Wow! Anyway, I like the darker blue, or I can do them in black. $25 each plus shipping. Paypal, cash app, venmo or? a check is fine. I'll also upload the file to the FOG so you can print them yourself, or someone else can print them. It's called Kappa Fence Extension... Let me know at my email. Re: 3d Dro stop
Bill,
I am immediately ready to buy one (or two, since I inevitably will sacrifice one in the next few years) from you in whatever color is easy for you.? Blue is great!? So is Format 4's version of silver (RAL 9006)! Just let me know how to pay! I would also offer all of the other bribes that others are listing, so just let us know! PK PKwoodworking |
Re: Felder K940S
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýDavid, In your pictures, I noted the overhead saw guard¡¯s shield for angled cuts stowed under the rip side extension table. Is that the factory location or did you move it there? On my saw it is stored under the rip fence bar. While it is not in the way it does get sawdust on it that I end up cleaning often. Should not be too hard to move. Re: Felder K940S
I have the same saw and had to drill a couple holes to install leveling feet. The 10mm shaft works ¡°ok¡± ?and I also chose the larger foot for looks but starting over knowing I would need to be drilling holes I would have used a larger shaft, likely 3/4 for the more extended back two feet. On a level floor all would be well, mine is on a sloping garage floor facing the door making the most extended foot approx 4¡±. Method of hole drilling was right angle attachment on cordless drill with stepped drill bits (harbor freight ones work well). Lifting was done with a pallet jack and blocking.

I was just poking fun about putting your name in it but I can if you really want me to? Do you have a preference of color? I¡¯m actually going to make mine blue. It¡¯s almost done I¡¯ll send you a picture in a few minutes. I¡¯ve been printing the stupid things all day long it seems like one dimension or another has been off all day by tenths of a millimeter? Re: Felder K940S
It seems like they ought to have leveling feet. What do people normally use?
I remember a recent post about this - suggested basic feet with a 3/8¡± threaded shaft. That seems pretty flexible for a heavy machine. -- John Hinman Boise ID Not a Felder Owner yet - expecting K700S in February and A941 in April 2022 |
Re: Felder K940S
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?Like Brian I also have never heard of Felder supplying leveling feet. I assume the holes you are speaking of on the right side (facing machine standing on the rip side) are located in the main cabinet¡¯s front & back corners. On my K975 there are two more, one on each end of the extended chassis under the slider. These are accessed by removing the panels in the rear (standing facing the control panel) of the said chassis. For this reason, they may not be easy to spot. Imran On Dec 31, 2021, at 8:21 PM, jppetricca@... wrote:

We use brown craft paper for these types of protective uses. We get it at Litin Paper on Plymouth Ave. It's totally adequate for the purpose, it's recycled and recyclable. We even use it in the vacuum press for epoxy glue ups. Jason Holtz J. Holtz Furniture 3307 Snelling Ave. South Minneapolis, MN 55406 612 432-2765 -- Jason J. I'll second Imran's suggestion of confirming that the motor is wired correctly. I just received a new 3ph RL160, and the instructions are very insistent on confirming that the motor is spinning the correct direction, and that improper rotation could result in overheating.?
For my machine, Felder wants the motor rotating clockwise, and they want the BROWN wire on the High/manufactured leg of the three phase (if present).? -- Tom Gensmer Heritage Home Renewals, LLC Minneapolis, MN |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?I should add that you can try cleaning the filter as well. There is the differential pressure switch that indicates filter needs cleaning. It is however not reliable, as many folks state that the light is always on on their unit. Differential pressure switch only controls light on my unit and is not able to turn motor off. Since you are having a thermal shutdown it indicates hot motor. I noted you mentioned that breaker also tripped. That would indicate high current. There is a possibility that the motor is developing a short therefore overheating. So I would check amps to confirm that there is not a short. You should not see current greater than nameplate FLA. ? Jay, Is it a 3 phase motor? If so and if it has never run differently swap two of the 3 wires to change direction. This happened to me when I wired RL125. It pulled deceptively enough air that I did not suspect that the blower direction was backwards. If that is not the case then my next step would be to remove the filter and then run it to find out if the plugged filter is causing the issue. My $0.02 Imran? Unfortunately I am running into issues with the RL160 shutting off after about five minutes of use generally any operation that takes more time than cuts on the slider. This RL is connected directly to my slider with <4' of flex and no sharp 90s and I would switch the hose to my joiner/planer where it would shutoff. Yesterday I was doing some drywall work which created some dust in my shop so ran the RL160 without it connected to anything to clear the air and after a few minutes the breaker on the machine tripped. After checking with the previous owner he had the same experience I did but Felder suggested it was his wide belt sander produce too much material and he didn't pursue warranty with them at the time. In all cases it is the machine side thermal breaker that trips.
I was hoping the forum members could suggest where to start diagnosing the problem or suggest parts I could replace.? Anyone else have this issue? Thanks, Jay B. |
