Re: Adjustable Groover Item # 03.0.033 depth of cut

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Whitehill has really expanded their offering, and at less than half the cost of Rangate, are a great value IMO. ? And a lot of their profiles are unique and very attractive in the US market.

Another alternative for tenoning is a conventional dado set bored to 30mm - here¡¯s a double stack of Forrest Dado King 10¡± dado cutters on my KF700 - this needs a proper tenoning hood for sure:

I used that setup to tenon 5x5 fence rails to 3?¡± depth. ? ?This link might be useful: ???

Wow, these are inexpensive. They are AL CI steel and do not have the nickers (like on Felder) which give you a nice cut when doing rebates.

Two of the following rebate cutters, with a bushing between them the thickness of the tenon you want, will go to 74mm depth, and 31mm high. ? These is what I use:

T-max on the dado cutter is not specified, but maximum depth of cut using it as a groover is 34mm because of the inner hub projection. ? See photos below:

I don't miss it on my 10' slider but made a corded one for my shorter stroke saws.? The long slider stays on most of the time as I can move stuff without getting close enough to the blade to worry about shutting it off.? Dave

Files section should have the pendent, as someone mentioned. That design can be implemented as an overhead pendent or one that is attached/placed on machine wherever convenient. A lot less than $1K.

TJ, I virtually never put my feeder down off of the table on my CF741. ?I only do so when cutting sheet goods, which is not very often. ?Of course, if you are using a lot of sheet goods, it will be more of an issue for you.

Believe me, you are doing the right thing by staying away from mag base. When things go wrong there could be a big impulse of power and not sure how the mag base will handle that. Besides safety, mag base is not going to work even with a 3 wheel feeder unless you are Mr. Universe. Feeder without assist on tilt bracket is bad enough for most and therefore, fortunately, someone came up with big lift.
