Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Dave, not sure. I would call service to see if it¡¯s possible. Someone told me that I could do it before I bought it and I think even after when I was going to upgrade to the 951 after the 941

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
I¡¯ve heard of some folks buying stuff related to metal working and it¡¯s all been re-badged Chinese units, quality is suspect to say the least. I haven¡¯t heard that they don¡¯t support you, but

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Mark, I couldn't find the mount on their e-shop. Do you have a part number? Thanks, Dave Davies

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Could be, pretty sure Felder told me there was a way to do it because I asked when I bought mine. Regards, Mark https://www.instagram.com/kessler_woodworks/?hl=en

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Mark, I'm pretty sure you can't mount it on the AD941. I have one and there are access panels in that location. Dave Davies

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
My point is you don't have to drill the holes no panels to alter/replace as its designed for the machine.

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
I believe i was told that you can mount the same bracket on the ad941, would need to drill the holes. chassis is the same except for the width Regards, Mark

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Another plus with the AD951 is the ability, with the optional mounting bracket to add a Power Feeder.?JohnJMK Services

Sang, I was speaking from experience on AD941 - AD951 about $3500, is true though need to ask to get an accurate quote obviously... AD41 silent cutter Single phase 4hp i think (Whatever is the

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
I don't think it's correct to blanket assume you will get 951 standard options that would otherwise be options on the 941. There are a lot of options on the 951 so I would simply just ask the rep to

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Paul, I have found that if you get close to maxing out options on one level of machine that jumping to the next level standard build or at least same options +1 isn¡¯t that big of a jump dollar

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
David, That is why I was curious.? The AD941 with the options I want is about the same price as the Baileigh.? My 951 question is based on current discounts and the fact that I wont need any options

I thought Baleigh was Taiwan, at least on their big stuff but that may be wrong. The design is interesting though. Looks more like the Hoffmann where the tables don't flip up but the planer bed is

Seems like my original post was removed along with the one to follow by Dave Davies and perhaps others. ?Strange.

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
The 951 is a lot more machine, too. Larger everything and more time saving options available like digi-drive and variable feed rate control and bigger depth of cut capacity. Geared towards production

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
I think the cost from ad941 to ad951 os about $3500-4k. You should get a quote for both. Regards, Mark https://www.instagram.com/kessler_woodworks/?hl=en

Ready to pull the trigger, but having 2nd thoughts? I think that it's normal to do that....but along the lines of what Brian said...it's not really an apples to apples comparison here.

Re: AD941 vs. Baileigh JP-1898-NC
Thanks for that Brian. It does look quite impressive though. I wonder about the accuracy. My AD941 is spot on for thickness. Bill Belanger
