95 EVC Converter update
New member here. I’m in the process of restoring a 1995 EVC (Eurovan Winnebago camper.) i’ve got the complete interior out to re-dye to the lighter shade of dove gray that the later versions have, And while I had all the interior panels out, and having discovered a major rodent infestation back by the power Converter and furnace,… I decided to go ahead and update the Converter. I am Installing a PowerMax AC to DC converter/charger. I was reviewing the converter update thread on 1705.net and have some questions about his procedure. He post before and after picture after removing the “filtered “lead and installing a longer “buss bar“. Looking at the back of my panel, I have no buss bar such as shown in the 1705.net write up. I just tried to post pictures, but received an error message, so not sure how to proceed on adding Pictures. If you are the blogger, who maintains 1705.net would it be possible for us to visit directly by phone?

02 EV has slow engine coolant leak 4
Our '02 Eurovan Weekender (200k miles) is very gradually losing coolant, and before I bring it to a shop I'd like to hear what you folks think is the most likely cause. The "low coolant" light came on last week, and we saw the coolant tank looking low so we added coolant. Now it's low again, a few days later. Group thoughts would be much appreciated!

Water leak rear hatch door on full camper 11
Hi All, Thought I'd try to tap into the collective knowledge base of this forum to see if anyone has figured out how to resolve the issue I'm having with my beloved aging EVC. I am trying to determine the most likely cause of water accumulation in the flooring underlayment in the rear storage area, just past the rear hatch door. (see pics) I have a 2002 full camper. The flooring is soggy and soft from water accumulation. (this has probably been going on for years, but noticed it recently) The van has sat out all winter experiencing lots of heavy rain exposure. There is no obvious entry or water trail from the top of hatch door. I have dried out the wet area using a fan and heater. All it takes is the next heavy rain and it is soaked again. Again no obvious water entry trail. The van has not been driven lately, so the cause is not from road spray underneath. Could this be caused from the poptop seal or silicone caulking in the rear corners? The silicone looks intact and has no cracking that I can detect. However, I do notice that the poptop seal is really compressed and flat where the rear corners are. See Pics. The door seal itself seems intact with no obvious damage or compression. Please give me your best advice (or best guess) on how to resolve this. Thanks in advance! Andrew

I got some 5-cylinder Eurovan main bearings in stock 5
I had a customer recently need to rebuild his AAF 5-cylinder engine. He asked me to get him a full rebuild kit and I found out how difficult it can be to source parts to rebuild this engine. I have been getting pistons for a while, but I now have one set of standard main bearings and two sets of .5mm oversized on the crank bearings in stock. I will put the links below. Getting these bearings in the USA is not possible so you will need to special order them from Europe. If you don't want to do that, I have them on the shelf. Just letting you know. Also if anyone is interested in a kit of parts for the engine rebuild, I can quote them on that since I recently put the kit together for the other guy. https://www.vanagain.com/product/crankshaft-main-bearing-set-for-92-96-eurovan-with-aaf-and-acu-engine-standard https://www.vanagain.com/product/crankshaft-main-bearing-set-for-92-96-eurovan-with-aaf-and-acu-engine-5mm-oversized -- Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com

is there a Interstate starter battery E Van 7
The Interstate site cross reference doesn't list a starter battery for a 2002 Eurovan. Anyone installed one lately? I've had good service from VW batteries and the Interstate in my other cars so they are my first choices. Any input on this is appreciated. Happy Holidays to all. Spencer 02 MVWK 02 Sunstar

Under van guard
There is a metal guard/plate on the drivers side of my 2002 evwk. It looks like it protects the fuel filter and carbon canister Mine is hanging down. It looks like it is held up by 3 screws. Can someone tell me the screw sizes so I can replace them Or if not screws, how is the guard held up? My Bentley server is down —Stephen

Gowesty EVC mattress topper? 12
Gowesty is having a weekend sale which would bring the cost of the EVC mattress topper and cover to under $200. I’m wondering if it will fit on top of the upper mattress with the top down. It’s 2in and most folks seem to recommend d 1.5 in to fit. We just returned from a month camping as volunteers at the Malheur refuge. My hip couldn’t take the upper mattress for that long (we had to crash with a friend who had an extra bedroom for the last week.) But we prefer to sleep upstairs. And we often travel with a tandem bike inside so storage space is at a premium! It’s a weekend sale and GoWestys customer service is closed for the weekend! Thanks for any assistance!

Eurovan cv joints/axle 34
Has anyone replaced the CV joints/axles on their Eurovans themselves? I am getting a loud knocking sound from the driver's side inner CV joint and am wondering the extent of the labor involved. Parts for my 1995 Eurovan seem readily, available but am wondering if I should tackle this myself or bring to repair shop in West Seattle. Any suggestions would be welcome. Has anyone hooked up a backup camera that automatically engages when you put it in Reverse? I’m interested in info on how/where to hook up the wiring. The info from Crutchfield doesn’t tell me this. Thx, Serge

I have speedometer cables for Eurovan in stock as well 4
I don't know if you have tried getting your hands on emergency brake cables or speedometer cables for the Eurovan but these aren't parts that you can just find in stock anywhere. However, we carry both and usually have stock on them. I will put the links below so you can see what I am talking about. https://www.vanagain.com/product/parking-brake-cable-for-99-2003-eurovan https://www.vanagain.com/product/speedometer-cable-for-1992-1996-eurovan Of course we have lots of other stuff including the coolant hoses for the 5-cylinder Eurovans, and even headlights and turn signal housings in stock. All of these items I could not find in the USA so I had to import them from Europe. Just letting you know that here at Van-Again we are doing our best to help the Eurovan community. -- Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com

Looking for a core 2.5l 5 cylinder engine for 93 Eurovan
I have a customer that is in the Las Vegas area. He is looking for at least a good used crankshaft for a 2.5l gas Eurovan if not a good block for the AAF engine that was used in the 93 Eurovan. If anyone knows of one available in that area or something that could be shipped there, please let me know. It doesn't need a cylinder head, just the block and crankshaft -- Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com

New version of the Eurovan shifter kit available
I have sold a lot of the Eurovan shifter kit in the past couple of years. It is a small kit with three of the bushings that normally fail in the Eurovan shifter. However, as time is going by, more and more people are asking for other bushings and not just the main three. So we have a new kit that is very comprehensive. It covers pretty much every bushing that you would need to replace everything in the Eurovan shifter. I am going to put the link to both kits below so if you didn't know about them you can check them out. I hope this is helpful for the folks on this group since it seems like converting a Eurovan from an Automatic to a Manual is getting to be more and more popular. https://www.vanagain.com/product/gearshift-linkage-bushing-kit-for-93-2003-eurovan https://www.vanagain.com/product/full-repair-kit-for-93-2003-eurovan-manual-transmission-shifter-701798169 -- Thanks, Ken Wilford John 3:16 www.vanagain.com

Features unavailable 3
Is there some particular reason that the Files, Photos, Database, Wiki, and Calendar features aren't available for use on this group? Seems like they'd be good for storing information that's useful and keeping track of meetups. I know attachments can be used, but then you have to remember which message to look at and it can be a pain when you're trying to find specific information. -- Duane 05HD Rialta 227K Miles

heater core bypass 7
Hello All, The heater core on my 2003 Weekender has stopped working for a over a year now. I found a mechanic who is willing to fix it, but I'm not sure about having someone take a part the dashboard and possibly having problems putting it back on together. Has anyone on the group ever bypass the heater core on their EV. If so, how difficult was it? Can someone post a picture of the final product and perhaps the bypass kit that would be recommended. Thank you in advance for the feedback from this group. --Leo 2003 EVW 210k miles.

Water pump not pumping 3
The water pump does not work. I can hear it, whether using the sink or the rear hose switched on, but no water comes out. Except once today it did. At both sources. Then I dumped out the old water and added some fresh water, and it's back to not working again. So, it's an intermittent (mostly not working) problem. New water pump? Where to buy? Easy to replace? Thanks! Serge
