Update on my 2003 EuroVan MV alignment: ? I decided to go with the local shop in my town so I could stay in close communication with the tech and keep the costs in check. ?They inspected the tie rods and agree with the VW dealer assessment that the inner tie rods need replacement. ?They also agree though with me that better to do the inner and outer on both sides given the 150K mileage. ?Upon inspection they saw some fluid was leaking fluid at the input shaft ?of the rack which would explain the low level I have seen but was somehow ignoring. I don't think a bad leak but decided to have them replace the rack at the same time as the tie rods. ?They completed that last week and adjusted the toe in/out back to spec. ?They also saw that the camber is off as I had know from the two previous VW dealer diagnostics. ?I asked them to first check and set the ride height before starting to make adjustments in the camber as suggested e arlier in this thread. ?The problem the shop ran into ( and I am having as well) is identifying the group number to use for specs. ?I read some of the posts here and saw one from Bob W that this number is the last of the third line of digits in the sticker on the plastic box cover. ?My sticker has "8L1" at the end of the third string.?? I have a Bentley Manual CD for this vehicle but unfortunately it doesn't open on my Macs and my work computer that has Windows 7. Thinking to go to Staples and see if they can read it and print out a copy. ?In the meantime, I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help me confirm that this "8L1" ?makes sense as the group number for a 2003 MV non-weekender and might have access to the ride height and ?alignment settings for this group number so I can double check what the alignment shop is using. ?

Goodness you have some serious information. ?Please by all means help Paul first - but if I may also request some help. ?I have the same model and year Camper and fridge. ?Apparently my fridge has never been used (still had tag inside). ?It works on AC, but on gas power, I can't seem to be able to keep the light green once I let go of the safety button. ?Do I need to light a flame anywhere? ?I didn't see anywhere in the instructions that "for first time use" light the flame, but I noticed in Paul's post reference to a "blue flame". ?Should I see one? ?Where is it? ?Please help. ?
