Re: EVC Pop-Top Insulation Tip
I'd be interested in making the purchase for a '99 EVC. I am horrible at measuring ad so will not attempt to be the pattern maker. Sklashley@... wrote: the window insulation kits for the EV. They

Re: 2000 EV
I only ask because Canada seems to get more VW models than we do. I thought we were not supposed to get an EVC until 2001 since they have only been produced in odd years for 93, 95, 97 and 99. I am

AFAIK, Canada is not getting the 2000 EVC. Why do you ask, Vance ? Frank. "vance, beaumont w." <beaumont.vanc-@...> wrote: original article:http://www.egroups.com/group/ev_update/?start=1794

Re: EV: VW Parts Distribution / Do you really want a VW?
I appreciate your input but to think that a company like Toyota appreciates it's customers and if the same thing happened to one of their cars that they might even reimburse you...thats just crazy .

Re: EV: VW Parts Distribution / Do you really wan t a VW?
I'll agree that it that would be frustrating, our EV is a 3rd vehicle for that reason. Only once have I had a problem getting a part. It too was a 6 week item, and was an injector pump for a 15 year

Re: High Altitude Fridge Kit-Again
Joel and Kent, The high altitude kit vent is supposed to be mounted exactly where you've described that yours (Joel's) is located. It is located directly BELOW the single combined intake/exhaust vent

Andrew, Have you checked the heat shield which is located between the catalytic converter and the passenger floor? With the catalytic converted cooled, slide under the EV and try to move the heat

Re: EVC Pop-Top Insulation Tip
I was wondering if anyone had tried this. I'm glad to know it works. Speaking of insulation, what have folks tried for sound or thermal insulation in the body cavities? When I replaced the rear

Re: High Altitude Fridge Kit-Again
The high-altitude kit came already installed on my 97 EVC. The second vent is mounted on the flat surface of the body panel, not on the seam, and is vertically aligned with the other vent. My

Re: Damaged Engine
It seems to me that one reason it took so long to obtain the VR6 was that the front end had to be enlarged, pushed out, to contain the engine. If true, this might make the engine switch difficult.

EVC Pop-Top Insulation Tip
If you live in a part of the world or US where you always have nice 70 degree weather, you won't need this tip. Here in Texas, we have 100+ summers and 32-winters. My '97 EVC gets very uncomfortable
