The various computers are on a bus where a wire runs between them all and they have different "addresses" on the bus. There may be different computers on more then one bus also. Joe R ----- Original Message -----

Re: 1996 Eurovan Rialto 5 cylinder 2.5 L - will fire but not run
Steven,
Dumb question - is there lots of gas in the tank? I have seen "start & stall" problems cured by putting in gas even though the owner insisted "there's enough to start it" I agree with Dave about the ignition switch. You could test for power at the distributor (Camshaft posiion sensor) and at the coil to see if the ignition switch is powering the ignition system. Perhaps start the van, wait for it to stall, then check for voltage at the connectors (key still on)? But if that doesn't do it, maybe the Throttle Position Sensor is the problem? Will the van idle but dies if you step on the gas? I suppose if the fuel filter was old and badly clogged that might be part of it. If it is old and ought to be replaced anyway, maybe go ahead and do that. The fridge is not the problem, I don't think. It drains the coach battery staying cool while driving and it appears that the coach battery isn't getting enough amps to maintain its level or keep up with the drain caused by the fridge. Regards, John ----- Original Message -----

Since only 6A of the 30 was used for charging, I never got much of a charge. It is about a $10-15 item, & would only take 1 minute to replace, once you have the Magnetek out, & open. I wanted higher DC output, so found the 45A model on EBay - NIB. They were taken over by Parallax, who has similar units with their name on them. If your problem is that internal breaker, get one like the front breaker on firewall left of battery. While tracing your problem, don't overlook ALL wires & crimped lugs done by Winnebago. They did poor work, & perhaps the same guy was "Quality" inspector. I kept my original Magnetek in case I had a problem with the replacement one, but it's never malfunctioned. I should have looked harder for a better replacement for my Magnetek. I understand someone makes a Converter-Charger-Inverter [sine wave]. It would be great to have a 3-in-one, even with limited Inverter power. Let us know what you find. If you search back to June 10th and 11th of this year, there was a long thread on the subject. Did the wires get properly hooked up to the sensor loop that is in each pad?

There's one long circuit loop from the lamp circuit in the dash through all four brake pads then to ground. If there's a break anywhere, the lamp illuminates. So--it could be a bad connection on your new front pads, or worn out rear pads, or a break at the rear pad connectors, or a broken wire anywhere in the circuit. I've had trouble with the connectors breaking on my front pads. Right now I still have the original front pads (60K miles), but the sensors are jumpered at the front wheels to keep the light off. I've made up a test plug from an old rear pad. I can plug it in at any wheel. Just tie the two wires together and you'll simulate an intact wear sensor. Sliding Door Curtain Track Rings and Stops - Two questions
drhovis
My 03 MV Weekender curtain fell off its track this weekend.
I discovered the aft plastic track-stop fell/was pulled out of position and the little curtain hook rings started sliding right out of aft end of the track. There are eleven hooks on the curtain. I recovered 9 little rings and one plastic track-stop. First question, how many rings are there supposed to be? I also noticed the forward end of the door curtain track was missing a track-stop. Second question, is the forward end also need a track- stop. Thanks for your help. |
