Re: '99 MV wanted + advice?
The dual sliding door was available in Canada in 1992. I just bought one about 2 months ago. (170,000 km) The dual door package came with 3 individual seats in the middle row. (I think this package

Re: Eurovan Pop-Top Rattle??
I'm still de-rattling my 99 EVC. I *think* I lowered the roof noise a lot by leaving the cushions *and* a modest-sized down comforter in the upper bunk while the top is down. I wouldn't want to leave

It maybe loyalty, I would describe the decision to part with lot's of $$$ Yesterday for our New EV Tdi as a carefully calculated evaluation of the vehicles on offer... If there was another van that

2000 EV
Perhaps this has alrady been covered, but I'm new to this group. I'm looking to finally part with my '86 Vanagon, and move up to one of the Eurovans. I've been offered a good deal on a 1999 model,

Re: Eurovan Pop-Top Rattle??
Kent, I have the 93 Weekender. About a year ago, the board on which the "upstairs" mattress rests started banging whenever the EV went over a bump. Investigation revealed two plastic cushioning

Re: Who has towed what?.................
Bill, I tow a 18 foot aluminum boat (2000#) with a '99 GLS. I use to have a '93 GL and it pulled the boat no problem. The 5 cyl. van has a lot of torque but you definitely need breaks on the

Re: Eurovan Pop-Top Rattle??
One thing I have done to minimize the rattling is to get some foam weather stripping that is about .75" wide and .5 thick. I got a roll of this from the Hardware store, and it is sticky on one side.

Re: Eurovan Pop-Top Rattle??
One thing I notice about our pop top on our 95 evc is that it will latch (you can hear the click) but sometimes it will latch to different degrees. If you stick your finger into the latch you can

Re: Eurovan Pop-Top Rattle??
We've had rattles as well, although they usually don't sound like the bed board. They subside if we put a couple tight wraps of electrical tape around the posts that lock into the roof latches. This

Re: Eurovan Pop-Top Rattle??
My bedboard rattles too. So, I just wedge in some rubber. Low tech, but it works. kgkirkley@... wrote: Pop-Top makes a lot of noise as if it wasn't locked down. I'm always very careful

Greg, I'm not sure why it isn't in the specs. All I know is that my tourguide made it rather aparant that they were using galvanized steel. As I recall, they had some initial problems with the

When traveling on rough roads (paved or otherwise) my '97 Eurovan Pop-Top makes a lot of noise as if it wasn't locked down. I'm always very careful about how the pop-top fabric is folded and that

And once again, back east. My son and I took a 400 mile cruise this weekend from Wilmington Delaware to the Pocono Mountains and on to Scranton PA. To tour a coal mine. Once again. No other EVCs.
