Re: House battery disconnect - which side?
Technically, it never matters which side you disconnect.? The reason for disconnecting ground is that if a wire happens to get away from you, there won't be any sparks if it touches something else.?

Re: Open hatch from inside - Measurements
See attached pic. As for the wire rod/pull button I mentioned - I was thinking of using a wire instead i.e. a mountain bike brake cable going to the top to some sort of knob...Could use some brake

Re: Open hatch from inside
I don't have a pic, but if I remember correctly the wiper motor is way off to-the right side (passenger of the liftgate. My bad - should have taken a pic. The wiper linkage is still in the middle

Re: Open hatch from inside
Sounds like a great alternate location….. but that wiper motor may be a problem if it went straight up…. And agree is the bed is made up or stuff stacked at the back it is hard to get your finger

Re: Open hatch from inside
Mine has a hole to get at this liftgate release. It is below the rear board that supports the sleeping area and is a real PITA to get to? - esp if the rear deck is loaded with stuff. Not ideal in a

Re: advice and parts for 2003 EV MV WE
Thanks, Mike - appreciate the parts source. I will order today. I’m definitely not the type to take the car apart - whenever I take things apart there are always bits leftover when I put the item

Re: EVC rear hatch (Liftgate) latch operation has "reversed" - Fixed
*FIxed.* First to clarify, I wasn't using the keys to test this - just using the front passenger door pull knob to open and close the doors. The rear hatch was definitely 'reversed' compared to the

Re: Wiring for trailer #electrical
You really should get a trailer light converter. The problem with wiring the trailer lights to the van lights directly is that now you have doubled the current draw from the flasher. The flasher rate

I just had a pretty big oil leak develop on my 2002 with the AXK VR6 motor. It has around 250k miles on it and has never really leaked oil until recently. I removed the oil cooler and oil filter mount

Re: Open hatch from inside
The EVC (Winnebago Camper conversion) has this capability, but not the Weekender. Winnebago basically added a hole in the trim panel on the rear door to allow access to a tab of the unlock mechanism
