Hey guys, Sorry to leave everyone hanging on the Ev leak effort. To date with the help of a couple of guys from this site, we've been able to put together a list of about 97 names of 93 EV owners

Re: ....and blower resistors
I wasn't aware that radio shack sold these. At what temp does the new fuse open at? It would be even better if you knew the part number.

Re: Fuel Lines and VWoA
Jerry, I've also been a bit lax in following up on helping you "finish" the list but even in it's current state it's probably enough to embarrass VW if it reaches the press. Too bad VW hasn't reacted

Re: Another Leaker
Paul, Just some advise based on my experience. The leak may not necessarily be the crimp connection. Also check the hoses that go to the fuel rails ( from the tee) . That's where mine leaked and then

Re: Another Leaker
What are the symptoms of a leaking fuel line? I have had an unsteady idle and some some of fuel when I use the defrosters. VW dealer could not fix despite new vacuum and idle.

The black one is fuel supply (approx. 40 PSI) and the blue is fuel return (approx. 36 PSI). Replace both of them as the hoses are now 7 years old and probably starting to dry rot. You may also want to

Another Leaker
Well, I thought I could wait to fix my fuel line. First, this 93 allegedly has a 95 engine, so I had hoped they had fixed the fuel line. I checked a few weeks ago and realized I had the dreaded crimp.

Re: More Dealer Woe
Well Dan, if you look at the amount of work that you had done, and if you had to do it all your self it would take two weeks. So it is money well spent! like you say its your cottage and that's cheap
